Not only have the Dolphins not contacted Ricky Williams since Nick Saban left, they haven't told his representation if they plan to keep or trade him. His NFL reinstatement -- provided he doesn't stumble -- is set for mid-April. . . . The Dolphins have scheduled an April 4 workout with Michigan State quarterback DrewStanton, who moved to Aventura and looms as a realistic option with Miami's second-round pick. . . . According to The Houston Chronicle, the Texans are expected to take Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn if he's available at No. 8, which could leave Miami choosing among Ohio State receiver Ted Ginn Jr., Penn State tackle Levi Brown and several defensive players at No. 9.

Houston wants Quinn at #8. No surprise there.

This is the first I've heard of David Carr to Miami link.

"Kansas City quarterback Trent Green to Miami -- Just the fact that the Dolphins are interested shows you how they feel about Daunte Culpepper's future."

If Green bounces back from the smack in the head he could put up some great #'s getting the ball to Ronnie and possibly Ricky out in space.

off on so many levels its not even funny

I am definitely not about trading for Green and If Mueller and Cam dont want Ricky back then I am down for that as well, as long as we draft a back in the draft then.

It really gets me how many media types slam the Porter signing. I admit it he wasn't my first choice to be signed but I still believe he was a significant signing for a weak link in the defense. Even if just his presence creates a threat from the outside he will be better than what we had. Maybe, just maybe, his presence will prevent the opposing offense from double teaming Jason Taylor as much. Irregardless how you see it, it has to be an improvement.
