On the hail marry bomb to Wallace on the 4th and long where it was over thrown and he just quit, if he had continued that would of been caught and a TD. You can see the ball bouncing twice by the 2 defenders and I was screaming at why Wallace just slowed down and quit. I understand he expected a pick or something but I want our #1 receiver to fight for passes. Like the INT he didn't fight for against the Jests.

Agreed. Was yelling the same thing...even if it was going to be a pick, which it sure as he'll looked like it...go slam the **** out of the defender who is making the interception, try and break it up, or at least smash his ass. Where his fighting spirit is what I want to know

That was our chance at a fluke touchdown. As soon that it was obviously overthrown, I was yelling for a gaffe like the Georgia/Auburn game. And it could have happened if Wallace kept running.

It's unbelievable how the defensive backs don't understand the situation, that it hurts the team to make a play on the ball instead of merely letting it drop. The Bills defenders were agonizing at missing out on the interception, instead of realizing they nearly screwed the team. It wasn't much different than Spiller waltzing out of bounds with 53 seconds remaining in the first half when the Dolphins were out of time outs.

I have to say that Tannehill has remarkable capacity to avoid interceptions. He tried to throw 2 of them today and both were dropped, the play mentioned in this thread and the third down pass at our 20 yard line. Meanwhile, Matt Moore attempted two interceptions and both were successful.

I think he stumbled a bit at the beginning of his route, that probably would've given him that extra step he needed. Can't really blame the guy, the body language of the whole team was terrible all game.

Sure, you can blame the guy. He is responsible for everything that is wrong with this team, don't you know that? Now he's criticized for not catching a ball that was 10 yards overthrown because two stumbling d-backs tipped the ball. Unbelievable.

He didn't quit. It was a severely overthrown ball and he was preparing for the pick so he could make the tackle.

I don't get why we stopped throwing to wallace, he was rolling in that 2nd quarter and didn't see a target until almost the end of the game.

Yep, that is what I saw as well . . . although in hindsight you wish he would of prepared for the deflection instead with it pretty much being over with an INT whether you tackle the guy or not. Still instinct in that situation tells you to go for the tackle after the INT to prevent a long run back.

Anybody ever think, the guy is underthrown all the time, so he slows up expecting it?

Tannehill was overwhelmed by the pressure the offensive line was giving up. Pressure effects all QBs but Tannehill certainly doesn't handle it well.

Not to be smart or anything, I was kind of hoping we stuck with Matt Moore when he came in the game the first time. I felt he was going to make a better effort to get rid of the ball with the pressure we were facing and we were risking more injury to Ryan by putting him out there. 2 INT's sure, but I couldn't bear to watch Ryan take that punishment back there and us settling for punts the rest of the game.

Let it fling and see what happens . . . but in hindsight a couple of Tannehill INT's with the poor completion % he put up would of been the right amount of fuel for the haters to blast on him at the end of the season.

He did quit.....dude is afraid of his own shadow. He should have continued running to break up the pass or tackle the defender after the pick. No questions asked. Had he done that, he may have caught the deflection.......but I doubt it, since he can't catch anything away from his body.

He isn't physical. He never fights for the ball. He drops catchable balls. No one can argue with that.

How did you think Hartline played yesterday?

He def doesn't handle it well but then again who really does? After the 2nd or 3rd sack I was looking for Sherman to help him out and call some screens or something that would help Tannehill and the line from getting abused and we made no adjustments.

Yeh I'm not putting it all on Tannehill yesterday. As you already pointed out NO ONE handles that kind of pressure well. A bunch of those sacks weren't even about holding the ball too long. The blocking, particularly from the backs was embarrassing.
