2 at the Jets 19 in the 1st qtr, (after a 1 yard loss on 3rd and 1) Philbin settles for a FG to go up 3-0.

4th and 1 at the Jets 46 in the 1st qtr (after an incomplete pass on 3rd and 1) Philbin elects to punt down 7-3.


Philbin showed just what kind of coach he is and will forever be. One that doesn't show any aggression or take any risks. In a game that meant absolutely nothing Philbin still coaches scared. This was a good opportunity for Philbin to work on taking risks, you know work on his weaknesses. If he coaches scared in a game that means nothing then we all now he'll coach this way all season next year when the games matter again. Miami can't win with this guy.

Yeah and when the game was over he went for two 4th downs and both times the plays were utter failures.

He obviously gets queasy on fourth and short!
