5. Good Rumors --- Oooo My!

Whoa! Gus said that Chris Chambers is a better all-around receiver than Randy Moss! Yeeeesh.

Thats all speculation, no facts in there. I wouldn't be opposed, because I think his value is as low as its going to go right now.

CULLP to MIAMI!!!!????!!!! Talks seem to be gettin serious! Who is expected to be involed in the draft? im assuming RW and a 3rd maybe? or a 2nd neext year?

btw. Miami is EXPECTED to play on THANKSGIVING unless its buffy playing detroit. i think it'll be US. SO YEEEEE HAA!:p4e::dj2:

Will Culpooper even be ready to play next season?

they prob would want a 1st for him... but im sure we'll offer ricky and a 3rd if we are really thinking about going after him. I like having both Ricky and Ronnie but we need a better QB. Daunte is young, has played for Linehan, had a strong arm, is an experienced pro-bowler, and will recover fine from that severe injury. Definitely would not mind seeing him as our next franchise QB.

gezz in that same article

There's a good chance Miami will play at Detroit next Thanksgiving. (Buffalo at Detroit is the only other CBS possibility.) . . . After playing with both, Gus Frerotte has concluded, `` Chris Chambers is a better all-around receiver than Randy Moss. . . . Chris runs a lot of different routes really well. He blocks.''

:tsk: come on now Gus. ur smarter than that.

I definitely wouldn't give a 1st for the guy.

Hence the title of the thread, "Good rumours". :D

it's the the term 'all-around' that makes this statement somewhat believable

Rnady Moss does only run 1 route with any real success.....the go route.

Call me crazy but I still would rather draft a qb rather than pick on up. Even one with Culpeppers skills. He hasn't done much of anything without his boy Randy and Chris Carter and he's torn his entire group of ligaments in his knee meaning he'll be less mobile which was his stongest suit. Nope I still rather would draft...

Not at the start. From whats being reported as of now. I'm not liking this, I think we'd have to give up to much for him. He is a HUGE question mark right now, his health and not to mention his production post-Moss.

I know you are a big Ricky hater and would be the 1st person to trade him away, but is that part of the rumor, or just your opinion/speculation.

Personally I'd rather keep Ricky and trade away just a pick if need be. We are benefiting a ton from Ricky, and it wouldn't make sense to send him away for cheap. Especially because he is an inexpensive talent for us currently. Cullpepper would definetely benefit from having R & R runnin the pig for him. His play action would be killer.

I must be crazy too, I agree.

He is in noway worth a 1st right now.. after the injuries he sustained he would need to be proven for a year... I remember when he first got hurt there was talk that it could have been a career ending injury.

and you all do realize we do have other players on the team that might go on the trading block? its not just Ricky... as a matter of fact theres probably a few others that could fetch more value and are less needed on the team.

oh and a 3rd plus Ricky for and injured D.C.? we would be getting the short end of that stick..I'd rather just use the 3rd rd pick on a rookie and keep Ricky.
