Sorry guys for my absent doing the most exciting off-season
in a long time,around here (long work hours)

5 Question if someone can help me answer them....

1.IF Jake LONG is the number 1 pick and Vernon Carey is not resign this off-
season (and wait till next off-season to negotiate a contract)can we afford both OT .?( Will Vernon look for JAKE LONG MONEY?)

2.Can JOEY PORTER play ILB ?(Leave jt and Draft pick ,or free signing to
play the OLB.Channing and Porter play ILB)

3.AT 6"4 344 can Paul Soliai mann the middle of the Dolphins defense?



4.If John Beck does not have a successful 2008 season ,would you as a fan be willing to accept Michael Vick as qb in Miami .Before you answer check-out

1. Yes we can afford both Long and Carey. The salary cap will probably go up again next year and 2010 or 2011 will probably be an upcapped year.

2. Reggie Torbor is scheduled to start at ILB alongside Crowder

3. Soliai can man the middle if he improves his technique.

4. No. I don't care what his highlights look like.

5. I will watch every round.
 
1. i hope we do sign big vern this off season if not we can afford it and he will look for big time money maybe no JL money but prob top 5 starting RT money.

2. No JP can not play ILB he had to play the other OLB last season and he could not even do that. Leave him at his best position and watch him shine.

3. his size can. From what i saw his talent can not. at least not for a few years.. he seriously got man handled last year.

4. No i doubt it and i doubt any team would want him as a qb.. to long removed from game. and we dont need any bad media attention.

5. i will watch our pick at one that flip back every half hour to see what i missed.
 
Well sign Carey this year to a long term extension and yeah Id take Vick. I dont know why everyone keeps saying Cancer about every player that has had a problem. Everyone has goten in trouble a time or two. Just because they are athletes doesnt make them horrible people. Were not famous so they dont put it on the nationwide news or Espn when we get a DUI or arrested . Vick , Pacman, D Hall, Ocho Cinco all of these players could really help us and I would take any of them. Who doesnt watch every round of the draft. Solia will not ever mann the middle. We need to look at Pat Sims and Kentwan Balmer with one of our selections. I think we really need to take a serious look at Larry Tripplett in Free Agency he is a beast. Darwin Walker can still play too. Grady Jackon is 35 but could be had cheap and can still play for a couple of years
Beck probably wont even start this uear I think we have to go with McCown.

I don't what his highlights are. First of all, I don't think he is an even an average QB. To me he is a RB playing the QB posistion. Second of all, I don't want a dog mureder on this team, especially one that feels no remorse for his actions except for the fact that he got caught. I will not be a fan of this team if Michael Vick is a part of it, ever again. I have been a die hard fan since I was born, but I will not go against my moral principles to support a football team.

If we get J Long and Carey moves back to RT and it works out which is still an IF then you have to keep Carey. He is home grown. Give him RT money and you have solid bookend tackles for the next 5+ years. You win when you can keep lines together for awhile - we have had no continuity there.

JPorter is an OLB period.

Solai was embarassing - he is a mountain that got moved! and easily!

Vick is a joke at QB - even if he wasn't in trouble I don't think he would be starting anymore in Atlanta. He will never be reinstated to the NFL so it's a non issue.

The draft is a given - minimum TiVO if you have to leave for food.
 
Honestly I doubt vick will ever play football again. His suspension is indefinate and once he is released from prison- i believe mid season 2009 he will be 29, 30 by the time the following season starts.

In my opinion, i doubt that the commisioner will even think about reinstatement until after the 2009 draft and i doubt it will be lifted until after the 2010 season (31)

I think that will be enough to keep teams away from the controversy...which is exactly what I think the NFL wants.

If they want carey they will find away to keep him, i think this team has a good handle on the cap

I will watch the first round. nap, have a beer and a pizza and then watch more

agree on everything here,specially the Vick question.....I love my cat(his name is Soprano...yes,after the Sopranos show)so the heck with Vick.

1. Yes, we will pay him, but probably not JL money. He'll have to be at least a little flexible or I imagine he'll be shown the door.

2. Porter, Torbor, Crowder, JT.

3. I doubt it.

4. Would not accept Vick under any circumstances. I detest him for what he did.

5. I will watch the whole 1st day. The 2nd day I just follow it online mostly.

1. I dont see Vernon holding out, not yet anyways. But if he does we need to pay him. He deserves it.
2. No, his specialty is speed blitzing off the corner
3. I hope so, but I dont think he will get his chance, and might not have the talent for it.
4. Um.... Where in the world did you come up with this. If Vick became QB of the Dolphins, it would be hard to root for the team because Vick is the lowest scum of the earth. Id rather have Saban come back and coach this team than have Vick play QB.. Not to mention he IS NOT a good NFL QB

1. Yes, we can afford to have them both under contract even if Carey hits the market. There's no way he'll demand JL money since he'd be the 1st pick but he should receive decent amount of money and with the cap going up and us having alot of cap space it shouldnt be a big problem.

2. Now, I've kinda wondered the same thing myself at times and this is what i've come up with. No, last season we played him out of his ideal position for alot of the season and he didnt play up to potential. I think he has to play OLB in a 3-4 to reach his full potential and thats what we want and need.

3. Paul Soliai has the size to play the middle, but the technique and toughness may be lacking. Lets hope he can and that the new coaching staff can light a fire under his behind.

4. No, Michael Vick is not a franchise QB. He made the playoffs only a few times in the ATL and his negative image would totally hurt the fins off the field. Plus, i still think he's looking at a year long suspension from Goodell after this season when he gets out of the joint.

5. I will watch every minute of the NFL Draft next weekend. The only time i'll miss is when i have to run to the bathroom to take a leak.
