1) offensive "firepower" was not a smokescreen at all

2) i think we'll see Jason Taylor back in Miami, b/c we havnt even attempted a pass rusher yet.

3) the FO is def. interested in further developing and advancing the wildcat

4) They might want to mix up the WR corps a bit. I'm not sure how or why. Maybe insurance for Camarillos injury or motivation for Ginn to step up. Also, Fasano and Martin both become free agents next year. so one of these bigger guys really could be a future Tight End. I say after this year we only keep one of those guys, so we'll need a 2nd TE with good hands. based on last year, the coaching staff seems to like and utilize 2 tight ends with solid hands.

5) we sured up CB for this season and for Free agency next year, but defense hasnt been a huge goal, i think they adressed that mostly in free agency. Vontae is a sick pick in my opinion. Atitude can go either way i mean you prob dig up some sorta atitude prob on most guys. But this guy is a big tough Corner. We need more solid tackling in the open field thats for sure, and with T.O. AND moss in our division we realllly need a physical guy. so in that case i love both CB picks, we need that phsyical element, and thats what the FO wants on defense.

6) This team wants to become an offensive powerhouse. They want to throw all kinds of things, personel packages, formations etc etc at ppl. I know alot of ppl call this "gimmicky" or w/e. but just b/c defense has dominated a lot of the better teams the past 10-15 years doesnt mean a fancy offense wont be fun to watch. I am confident with our defensive personel rite now so im anxious and excited about all the new firepower esp white and the two big wide outs.

Still, a player who refers to himself in the 3rd person....just hope they can keep his 'tude in check. Being down there in Miami and the night life, I'm worried he'll be a 2-3 year player and out.
As for no LBs taken....says alot about bringing back JT.
And which WR gonna transition to TE? Neither is above 220lbs and to play TE in this OFF you need to be able to block.

7) they don't care what you think about their draft.

Well last year they drafted tons of big guys in the trenches and now its been all skill positions so far this year. Wonder what next year brings but I am starting to see a method to this madness.

I love all of your points. When we drafted Pat White a buddy of mine who is a Jags fan said he thought the wildcat last year was an improvisation b/c of our lack of talent offensively but the wildcat is our offense and the drafting of Pat White cemented that. I think this is one of the best drafts I have seen in a long time and also drafting Hartline and Turner does nothing but add depth to what is a underrated receiving core. We had a bunch of guys that play great as a team and dont need that "big name" receiver. Parcells has never been one to break the bank on one given player and that hasn't changed nor will change. He will build this team from the draft up and I think the eventual signing of JT back with miami is gonna make us better than last year ten fold and repeat as AFC East champs along with going deep in the playoffs

Parcells or Ireland... is that you?
yes sir

You guys will be happy to know we've got our draft board all figured out. It's a dart board, and we go with the pick thats closest to what Wilford can hit.

That is what I've been thinking. Still true to his MO, Parcells has picked up some big tough guys, but at the skill positions this year. I think if at any point in this draft if an interior guy was available at our pick our FO deemed he was not an upgrade over what we already have. No need to worry about only having only 3 WR in uniform for a while either.

6) This team wants to become an offensive powerhouse.

Sorry, but the FO has done absolutely nothing this off-season to imply the installation of a power offense in the making. We got minimal OL help, {which they said was a priority}, and now they're heavily focused on expanding the wildcat {which they said we'd minimize in 2009}....

The additions we've made on offense this weekend only point to one thing in my opinion. The FO still isn't confident enough in the OL to get away from using the wildcat as our offensive bread and butter. Honestly, with Grove being the only addition up front, I'm not either....

IN TUNA WE TRUST....

I think this draft says that they collect ATHLETES first and foremost and that they want COMPETITION at as many positions as possible...

I don't see how a lot of people think this draft is a huge bust. It's not. It'll probably be the difference between winning and losing next year. No CB's, we lose. No offensive firepower, well lose. We needed skill positions, so thats what they went after. Makes perfect sense to me.

that may not be a bad idea and after calming down I think see what may be happening here . I am starting think they may bring back surtain and taylor and then will fix the secondary more next year.

the bottom line is I have been dreaming of the dolphins becoming a offensive jugernaught for a while.

I love this draft. It tells me they targeted specific players/types for their specific game plans and they're sticking to it regardless of who was available or what round they were projected.

It's organized, focused, and results oriented.
