I’ll play

These are just for fun, but it is something of a bummer that we are only talking about seven new players on the team, and maybe only four actually are worth anything at all…

Here’s one where I list my first choice at each draft position, with an alternate if that player is not available, etc. The later the pick, obviously, anything can happen…

1- Darren McFadden, Jake Long, Glen Dorsey
2a- Branden Albert, Anthony Collins,Quentin Groves
2b- Ahtyba Rubin, Red Bryant, Xavier Adibi,
3- Jerod Mayo, Brad Cottam, Philip Wheeler,
4- Shawn Crable, Kroy Biermann, Trae Williams
6- Adrian Arrington, Jo-Lonn Dunbar, DJ Hall
7- Colt Brennan, James McClinton, David Vobora

I definitely wouldn't be mad with those first 3 rounds . . . even tho I really like Jake . . . u addressed 4 needs with 4 outstanding players.

in the 1st round i would go with Chris long i dont think that we can pass on him if he has a good Pro Day
in the 2nd round i really like branden albert and i think he could play LT or RT in the nfl but we could just keep him at LT
with our other second round i like xavier adibi but i think Beau Bell or a CB would be a better option there we really need to sure up our Covrage and if we got Beau bell he would be able to Fill in where Zach was
in the 3rd round Brad Cottam would be nice but i think John Carlson or Dustin Keller MIGHT be there and if they are i think we take one of them
in the 4th i dont really know who thos guys are
in the 5th round i would take DJ Hall i think he would be a good 3rd or even 2nd WR depending on how good Ernest Wilford plays
I have been high on Colt Brennan all year i think he could be a good QB if he got his arm Strength up and i would like to get him if he is there in the 7th round he could even Possibly go undrafted

I am assuming that JT is going to be traded, so let's say we get a 2nd round pick for him, I would go with this in the first 3 rounds:

1- DE Chris long/ Vernon Gholston
2a- CB Antione Cason
2b- OT Anthony collins
2c- ILB Curtis Lofton
3- WR Andre caldwel

that would be fantastic, though i'm not sure collins and lofton would be there at those picks.. also with the 3 pick i wouldn't be upset with a WR, but i think they've tried to address WR through FA (kircus, wilford, perry) so i'm not so sure we'd draft one there. If we got those first 4 and then a G (assuming we dont get hartwig) or a S, i'd be stoked. We can get a TE at the top of round 4 too. If we got a starting DE, CB, OT, TE maybe ILB, maybe G out of this draft that would rock

I tried to be realistic with my mock as well as filling glaring needs:

I will give more details in regards to my mock:

1- DE/OLB Long/Vernon:
I honestly think that JT is going to be traded, just hearing him on the NFL network and seeing his body language, he just does not want to be here, and with that we have to replace him and long/Vernon will fill this spot nicely. We can't wait until the second/third round to fill this spot with second trier DE/OLB

2a- CB Antione Cason:
When all said and done, Antione is going to make every team that passed him kick themselves in the butt, I have watched him play and he is the shut down corner we need, he is smart and tough and just flat out makes plays, there is a very good chance that he may fall to the second and we should take him.

2b- OT Anthony collins/Cark Nicks:
You are right here, Anthony may not be available but there is a chance he could be there with our second pick, words that is he falling a bit after the combine, if he is not there, then another monster in carl nicks could be there, one of them would be a great pick here.

2c- ILB Curtis Lofton:
Again, there is a great chance he could be there late in the second round, I really like Curtis, and he would fill Zack's spot nicely ( This is if we can get a second for JT which I think is very possible )

3- WR Andre Caldwell:
He is the type the BP likes, he is a big WR with blazing speed, I really liked what I saw from him at the combine, we still don't have speed at the WR spot outside of TG.

4- OG Mike McGlynn:
Great run blocker

Rd.7 Pick#193 Lance Leggett-WR-Miami (FL)

Would be pleased if this happens. The only changes I would make are a different OT than Cherilus (who is a strict RT, and it sounds like Carey is going back to RT. If he doesn't fine), and take of Johnson (who I'd love to have, but some have him as a late 2nd)

Doubt Crable lasts to the 3rd let alone 4th, and I think Hall goes higher.

Nice first three rounds..not bad at all

We WILL draft some beef in the middle of the Defense. We have to or expect another 2-4 win season

Would also rather have Matt Flynn at #6, but Johnson IS a very interesting prospect.

Also, have been reading more and more on Cherilus. Might need at least a year to become a Pro-style/ability Tackle. But does have very nice tools..

One of the best mocks I've seen so far, except I really think we will take two OL this draft. Plus your number of picks is too low, we will get 2 more compensatory picks this year, likely a 6th and a 7th. Otherwise a darn fine mock IMHO.
