That's how long it took for the Chicago Bears to recover from their Wannstedt era.

We are only in year 2.

they never had anything close to the talent we have....as of right now saban looks like the problem not wanny.

Now that is a sacrilegious statement from a Dolphins fan!! Every move Saban has made in the offseason was the "right" move at the time. Obviously it hasn't worked out the way he wanted or intended for various reasons but can you honestly tell me you cannot see the logic of his decisions? They were all sound movess. Moves like CPEP, Mularkey, Capers, First Round pick to help the secondary etc.

beg to differ, but the DC and OC should have been promoted from with-in.

I don't disagree with the moves looking right at the time..but you get judged on results, not logic of the decision.

Look how damn lucky the Patriots got when the drafted Brady in the sixth round. That netted them incredible results or otherwise Belichick would probably be in Dallas coordinating the Cowboys defense.

I am the first to say it takes luck. And the only luck Saban has had here is bad.

Picking up Capers was the best move of the offseason.

You're right in that we shouldn't have gone with Mularkey, though. I liked his record as an offensive coordinator, but I don't know if he's uncomfortable with Linehan's system, or if he just doesn't know what the players' strengths are, but his playcalling is just not doing it.

He needs to move down from the box.

Its funny that you bring up the Bears going from pitiful to dominating. The last game I went to see at Dolphin Stadium was 4 years ago Dec 9, 2002. It was a Monday night game in which Ricky busted the Bears D for over 200 yards. We won that game by double digits. Its kinda ironic that I will be making a return trip on Dec 10 to see the Pats game this year. I am hoping Saban can turn this sinking ship around just as Lovie did for the Bears.

I agree with this statement. Saban is afraid of looking like he's made some mistakes. Not all the moves he makes will be right, some will be wrong. And he has to let his EGO admit that. I feel that's a problem right now. It seems to occur with all former college coaches - THEY'RE TRYING TO PROVE THEY BELONG IN THE NFL.

With that being said, Saban can redeem himself by playing the players that perform and not just HIS players. Admit his mistakes and move on. As good as Shula was he had several first round picks that were busts. If a player didn't perform he demoted them and found someone else.

The sad part here is you may be right. IMO we need to go with the young guys and let them get experience. We can't play any worse. Let Allen and Hagan play - as soon as Toledo is ready get him in there. How much worse can Alabi do? Do we have anybody else for center - Hadnot is not the answer.

I feel bad for the University of Pittsburgh. They're stuck with the 'stache for at least another 2 years.
