If you have to pick between the two, which one is it?

Would you rather the Pats win and eliminate a potential chance at matching the '72 season, or have the pats lose to help our playoff chances and the Colts go undefeated??

Same applies for the Saints, even though this isn't the case. I just am curious what you would pick, save the '72 glory or save our season??

I love the undefeated record and was extremely happy the Patriots came up short in 2007. However, at this point, I would rather the Colts win and help the 2009 Dolphins. Why? As the Patriots showed in 2007, going undefeated is extremely hard to do, so I am confident the Colts(same goes for the Saints) will lose at least one game this year.

Also, if any team had to break the 72' record and go 19-0, the Colts would be the team I would want to see it do it. For some reason, I have no hate towards them.

09' season.

I think the Colts will lose a game this year because they don't look as dominant as the 2007 Patriots and they have squeaked by good teams and they have had an easy schedule. The Saints also look beatable eventhough they are the best team in the league. I thin NO will lose to division opponent because I don't see a sweep on the Falcons.

I don't get how a dominent team like Indy can have an easy schedule.

I wouldn't root for the Pats if it were the Super Bowl and the Saints were undefeated. Next question.

Shucks how can u hate Peyton lol I agree that both of the undefeated teams will eventually lose at least one game. I don't what the dolphins to count on someone else to help them into the playoffs. There are plenty of games left for them to do it themselves!

I would never root for an unbeaten team to win a game at this point of the season, unless it's the Dolphins.

The league is simply too imbalanced, far beyond any time in recent history. These are hardly fraudulent teams. The Colts are #1 in YPPA Differential and New Orleans is #2. It may look like 11 more chances but it's actually a handful. Simply too risky. If we lose 1972 as unique, this franchise takes a hit far beyond what we would estimate before it happened.

Besides, I love rooting for the '72 team all over again, every year. They never disappoint.

Last year we were a 50/50 team in YPPA Differential. This season we're -2.6, fourth worst in the league. That's the difference. I'll root for the Dolphins but it's preposterous to believe a team with that type of statistical blueprint can string together 8-0 or 7-1 the rest of the way, to make the playoffs. The media never points out relevant numbers like that, but they dictate outcomes.

Definitely rather have Indy win. If I want any team to match our 72 record I want Peyton Manning to be on it. He's a consummate professional, and the best QB to ever play the game.

I'm actually rooting for Indy to go undefeated until the 2nd round of the playoffs until we play them again and beat their *** like we should have in week 2!

I think about it like this:

If the dolphins were not to make the playoffs, regardless of whether the pats win or lose, I want the 72 season to be preserved.

Or if we would need to pats to lose a game like that for us to get to the postseason, I would want them to lose and the colts or saints to go undefeated.
