hey everyone. i believe whole-heartedly that miami can go 9-7 this year. reason being....... look at the roster from last year compared to this year. look at the coaches from last year compared to this year. we lost 6 games by 3 points or less. now if we had this years roster in last years season what do you think our record would have been. now i know everybodys roster has changed but if we could have won 3 of those 6 games lost by 3 or less that puts us at 4-12. now with all the personell movement and coaching changes that have gone on, i think we have a great shot at 9-7. tell me what you guys think.:woot:

Hey, I'm with you! 9-7, 10-6 wildcard!!! I know, we are looking at things through aqua colored glasses and will probably be blasted by more then just a few here. But, no one knows what will happen. Who could have known, at this time last year, I would be dancing in my living room after an overtime win against the Ravens that meant nothing in the grand scheme of things except that we were not longer winless. No we aren't the most talented team (neither were the Giants). I think with the coaches and staff that has been assemble we are in a much better position to play to our strengths. LET THE SEASON BEGIN!!

p.s. Welcome to the boards

I dont think we are 4-12 bad so i think anywhere between 6-10 and 9-7 will be the result. With next year being very exciting.

I think a change in attitude alone can go a long way. We still have to find someone to toss the football though.

thats a great point. and how bad do you think the dolphins orginization wants to get out there and kick some butt after last year? im guessing pretty bad!!!

i always go into every season with a positive view, why would you want to go in not expecting success, according to me before every season the dolphins are going to win the super bowl. but yeah hopefully henne or beck can answer the question at qb for us and we can have a young and legit team to look forward too. im really excited about the young d-lineman we have, hopefully we get two cornerstone ends in merling and langford and a stud nose in starks, solai, dotson, torbio, or anyone for that matter

I really hope we can go 9-7, i dont see it happening but i hope. All you have to do is look at the threads from last offseason, lots of optimisim, we got this awesome new coach, look at the roster, blah blah blah. Again i hope we can go 9-7 and i do honestly think we are in a much better place than last offseason just remember what they say about learning from the past

i agree with you 100% and i do see a lot of threads on here about miami going to the super bowl this year and all that sotra mess. but i was watching nflta last night and was listening to brian ballslinger say that miami will have a good seaason if they go 4-12. dude if we would h ave won 3 of the games we lost by 3 or less we would have been 4- 12. i know coulda woulda shoulda. but basically he was ssaying we haven gotten any better. but imo i think we have gotten much better. but we will see

I always have hope.

I talk the PHINS from Draft to start of the season!! "Rumour has it the PHINS are going to win it all this year" are the first words out of my mouth at work the Monday after the draft. Every year I expect them to get better and will always be that way! GO PHINS!!

I'd be delighted going 9-7 next season. However, if someone twisted my arm and forced me to bet my own hard-earned money on an over-under of 6.5 wins, while my heart may say otherwise, my head would prudently be betting on the under.

7-9 or 8-8 is my guess.
just the conditioning alone will give us more wins.
Cam didn't have them physically prepared last season.
Parcells will.

Well the team could go to the playoffs "IF"........
LoL, seriously IF everything goes right then Miami will be a very good team but the chances of Everything going right probably are not as good as we all hope. I happen to think that IF one of our QB's step up and play solid that alone will carry Miami to 8+ wins.

We have a shot as does every team to this point. I would say it's really unlikely. It would a nice surprise. My head is smarter than my heart. SO I say 5-11 is probably a good season for us!

I expect an improved record but do not expect to be over 8-8. Realistically, we will have a few injuries to overcome as well as a lack of experience at certain positions. Anytime you field young, inexperienced players, you will have a few growing pains. The best hope is for this team to learn to compete and to play together as a team. This will prepare us for a playoff run in 2009-2010.
