This afternoon, we look at wide receiver Francis Owusu.

Owusu has the kind of ceiling that you keep him and develop him.

If you are going to use two and three years for slugs, you've got to change the record and give players like Owusu a chance to develop and shine.

Incredible upside. 6'2+ and looks like he's bulked up some from 220 -- either more weight or more muscle. Sub 4.4 legit and great leaping ability. Players that size with those kinds of wheels and quickness in and out of breaks... rare. Give him the develop and snaps that others have gotten and you have to wonder just how good he can be.

LD

One thing he has going for him is his size, speed and overall athleticism. 6'2 220. 39-inch vertical jump, 10’7″ broad jump and ran a 4.37-second 40-yard dash.

He has an uphill battle to make the team. Will be an interesting battle between Owusu, Carroo, Ford and Lewis. That's if the Dolphins keep 6 WRs

Don't count out Drew Morgan or Rashawn Scott. I also think you'll get a better look at the back of the receiver corp with Tannehill, Fales, Osweiler and Petty throwing passes vs Cutler, Moore, Fales and Dougherty. We might be able to keep watching preseason games in the second half this year.

Maybe he can develop in to something. If Devante"Mr. Underachiever" Parker flames out this year, we have a replacement. Up to this point in his career, Parker is not much better than Owusu. Parker has not been anywhere close to a 1st rd. value.

That last WR spot will go to who is best on specials most likely so it's a coin flip at this point. Like you say the pre season should be interesting to see who can separate from the pack. Make some plays and move up the list. Including plays on special teams.

Agree he needs to finally step up and play like a 1st rounder. Still on his rookie contract so now is the time to **** or get off the pot.

I have little doubt Parker will shine now that more has been put on his plate. Going to be nice knowing I got my seat up front early on the Parker train once everybody starts racing to get onboard.

I would bet some decent money we keep 6 based on depth of talent as well as the injury history of Amendola/Parker

I have no faith in Parker. I do hope you are correct and get to start a thread that says “I told you so”.
We are deep at WR. Regardless of the final 6 and maybe 1 on the PS, our fate will hing on the OL establishing the run and protecting the QB

Nah I'm not a "I told you so type". I'm more of the type that will turn back from my front row seat with **** eating grin and just shake my head as if to say "shame on you all. You should have known better."

Can he beat out a *perpetual project player* (PPP) like Carroo?

Stay tuned!

I think this is crazy talk. You really think Parker hasn't shown much more than a player that hasn't been able to make a 53 man roster yet? I think fans let their hate for players cloud their ability to make serious assessments. There were 190 receivers on NFL rosters last season and Parker was 35 in receptions one short of Stills who was tied for 32. To say he hasn't shown much more than a practice squad player is crazy. Ask any gm in the league if they would take Parker in exchange for a player like Owusu? I know you didn't say Owusu was better, but they're not as close as you and some fans think.

Great stat review. Do you know what round the guys above were drafted in? Thanks for your research!
