porter made a near perfect play...lining up and dropping into to coverage...31 out of 32 qb's would have made the same throw...maybe even manning...my friend a division 1 quarterback in his hayday said the same thing...every qb in the nfl would have made the same throw...that was an incredible play by porter

it was a good play by porter, but it was also desperation time and an obvious pass play

any qb in the league would have thrown that pass that's all i'm saying every one saying culpepper sucks...yes the polamulu pass was bad...but every qb throws a ball like that

well let's not get too carried away - they were bad plays.

but i think he deserves some free pass time to get acclimated to the offense, shake off the rust and refine timing routes with his receivers.

I agree..that was seriously an incredible pick. It was so well executed that I couldnt even fault him for talking smack after.

would have frerotte complete that pass to chambers when we just got the ball back in the 4th quarter? the 3rd and 10 when we got the ball back when pitt fumbled?

It was a bad throw, and it would be a bad throw even if 64 of the last 64 QBs to start games would have made it.

That doesn't mean Culpepper is a terrible QB, and it is absolutely untrue that even close to everybody here is saying that. Exaggeration like that is part of the problem with the venting that goes on around here after a loss. If people would take a moment to post reasonably, the main forum would not have the reputation as a circus both here and on other forums.

Culpepper was ok but I think our receivers did not do a great job of getting open at times which forced him to take a few chances.

95 percent of QB'S would've tossed that pass? Explain your %.

If not, Culpepper did his usual of tossing the ball. He doesn't read defenses well. That is his fault whether you like it or not. If you don't like that answer, get use to it as the season progress.

I really didn't get a good look on the replay, was it a timing route he jumped on?? What exactly made it a great interception that a majority of QB's would have been a victim of??

If you've watched the Vikes the previous years, you would understand. Pep doesn't anticipate or scan the field well.

i actually thought he made good progression reads throughout the night.

and he didn't fumble! :)

Sill much better than any Qb we had on team last year. Daunte will be ok.
