Even if the team could pull of this Miracle 10-6 wont get you in the playoffs in the AFC so we would be stuck in the middle again next year with lousy picks and the same medocre group. No, its too late to be a hero now I say let the ship sink, take the insurance money and buy a new one!

I'd rather go 10-6 than 1-15 and at this point there's no telling if 10 wins would be enough to somehow win division or make playoffs miraculously.

It is inticing to want a high draft pick. But it could hurt us financially. We are among the worst as far as cap space for next year. And we already have a number 2 overal pick making a lot of money. That money for high draft picks goes up every year and we would have two guys making a ton of money if we draft high. Hopefully if we have a high draft pick, we can trade down and get an extra player. That would enable us to spread that money out to two guys instead of giving it to the one. And considering that we need to address a lot of positions, that would seem like the best scenario.

If you told me we would win 9 in a row, I would do head stands!!!!

That win streak at the end of last season was nothing more than a mirage. What this team needs, is a major house cleaning...

PHINZ RULE!!!

Not that it will happen, but you go 10-6 because the fans pay to see the team win. You go 10-6 because this is the winningest franchise in Professional Sports and you don't want to give up that distinction.

I don't know why you think 10-6 doesn't get into the playoffs. Indy, NE, and Denver are pretty much guaranteed 10+ wins. I wouldn't be surprised if Baltimore finishes 8-8. San Diego has a way of losing games. Jax has good and bad games, and doesn't have a starting qb. Cinci has been good but not great and doesn't have a very easy schedule. The Jets...? I wouldn't be surprised if at least one AFC team makes it in with a 9-7 record.

As for the Dolphins upcoming pick, I don't think top 5 picks are worth the money unless you can get a special qb. The worst mistake you can ever make is drafting a good but not great qb #1 because he's the best qb available (let's call this the Alex Smith rule). If you think Brady Quinn is special you draft him, dump Daunte, and start over. Otherwise trade down for more (and less expensive) picks.

I don't think we are going to have to worry about going 10-6!!!!!!

It's the End of the Team as we knew it.

No, we won't have to. This team is the end of the Miami Dolphins as we knew them. Whatever pride was associated with the franchise is gone. No team member goes out now and tries to win a game, because he's a Dolphin, the best team in professional sports.

Don't worry. Winning 9 in a row is not something this team has to worry about.
This team won't win 2 games in a row this season.

am i the only one to read we're not that bad off as far as cap space for next year?

just to let you know, theyre is even a possibility of making the playoffs at 8-8, highly unlikely but its happened before, so even 9-7 can happen. im pretty sure at 10-6 you would make the playoffs.
