But Jolly is just entering his prime and helps hold down a line that is currently part of the league’s number one ranked run defense. He’s made incredibly athletic plays almost routine. And behind him? Jarius Wynn has been nothing but solid and nothing close to special. The drop off is severe.

Agile defensive lineman started all 16 games at tackle for the first time in 2008 but may project as an end in Packers’ new 3-4 defensive scheme
Posted a career-best 82 tackles (50 solo) last year, and registered the team’s first blocked field goal in three years
In 2007, had season cut short by shoulder injury after starting seven of that season’s first 10 games, alternating with Corey Williams, having landed starting interior spot alongside veteran Ryan Pickett following impressive training camp

Jolly has the size, and bulk you want in a nose-tackle in a 3-4.He's strong, and holds his own at the POA.Whats most impressive is not only his 82 tackles from the NT position last year, but the consistancy of him putting together back-to-back good seasons. Not as many tackles, but a respectable amount, not to mention a pick,a sack, and a FF.As mentioned Jolly is heading into his prime, and he is only 26,which is very young for a NT.I expect Miami to go after Jolly hard, should he become a FA.

Johnny Jolly faces drug charges in Texas of 2-20 years in jail. He is a good player, but not right now.

Jolly played DE for GB, Pickett play NT on 1st and 2nd downs and then they put in Raji in on passing downs. Jolly rarely played NT and more in the beginning of the year when Raji was still learning.

The time he had less tackles was when he played NT.

Pickett should be the guy you want a closer look at, he's a real good NT that should hit FA. Raji will take over freeing Pickett to leave, GB needs another OLB and CB's to eventually replace the aging excellent CB's they have. I hope we're seriousily interested in Pickett to go along with C.Hampton, either one would be a great pickup for us.

I said last year he played NT,never saied this year 3rd.Last year they ran a 4-3,and to post 82 tackles inside the tranches is pretty impressive.

Btw,numerous talks are that if the Packers re-sign ayone, its Pickett, because of the reasons you listed, and trust me,if he doesnt sign, they'll tag him, only pushing Jolly even close to us.

I thought there was only a NT in a 34 not 43, my bad. How much money do you think they'll tie up in one position? Raji is getting top dollar, Pickett will demand a good dollar aswell. I just don't see it, their better off retaining Jolly at DE then Pickett at NT. They have nobody behind Jolly to replace him but they have Raji to replace Pickett. They need an OLB, they have to re-sign Collins and that will cost a decent amount and the Oline needs attention which to me adds up to Pickett entering FA.

Now let's get to a couple important issues, Jolly is a restricted FA (he has 4years of service) so we would have to trade for him. And he had 49 tackles last year and a total of 74 in his first 3 years so I don't know where you got 82 tackles from!!!

Other then all that he's an interesting RFA that we won't get, lol!
