Well I do have to say I am glad that we won but it seemed as if we played uninspired football today. Maybe we took them for granted maybe they just came in ready to play maybe they are alot better than their record but we came out like throwing haymakers and then seemed flat until that last scoring drive.
I think our D played better than the score was they had 7 come from a defensive score they played the run pretty well minus the big run at the end and only 185 out of Wallace today pretty low number. Now the bad side of that the low number probably come from the horrible coverage we had on punts and kicks giving them a short field.
I hope in practice this week Coach Sparano is all over them yes the closed the game but it should not have been close. We need to work on consistency i would rather score 7 or more a quarter then come out score twice then get nothing for long stretches we do not have the shut down D quite yet to play without any worries when we have a lead. We need to come out and work hard this week AND NOT OVER LOOK THE RAIDERS because we play the Pats the following week.
But in order to turn the corner into an elite team you have to learn how to win ugly and today was definatly an ugly win. Now go work on blitz pick up and staying in your gaps come on the field take care of the Raiders and then get ready for the show down the following Sunday.
Now I want to mention some great things I saw today....
TED GINN....how good was that catch man double covered and the ball just stuck in those hands. I really think he has turned the corner in the last 3 weeks he has 14 catches for 280 yards and a TD. Keep it up Teddy
RICKY WILLIAMS....105 yards on only 12 carries and oh man HOW FAST DID HE LOOK on that 51 yarder man he found another gear. But he ran inspired and i hope this means the R&R express is getting into full stride.
WILL ALLEN/YEREMIAH BELL....two huge plays in the last 3 minutes.. Allen knocking that ball down on the last drive and Bell knocking down that 2pt conversion attempt that was HUGE.
