I just listened to Sparano's presser. His words and I echo loud, "we're a damn good football team. We're almost a real damn good football team."

A disappointing loss but Sparano is right. They are almost a real damn good football team. There is really no reason to be pissed after this game. Disappointed yes. Danny Kannell hit it on the head. Last year was an abberation. If we played this schedule last year, we don't win 6 games.

This team has a solid foundation, a slew of draft picks and is the 3rd youngest team in the NFL. No playoffs this year, but most of us expected that. This team is definitely heading in the right direction.

We need to prove that next week. If we really are that good, there is no reason why the Buccaneers game should be a challenge.

Best thread so far.

Agreed. We have to learn how to turn the page and get to that next level. Freeman made the packers look like crap, although Green Bay better get an o-line or rodgers is going to get his head ripped off. I don't think this is going to be a cake walk game and very well could be a "trap" game.

I just really think we`re a really, really good football team that is being held back by poor o and d co-ordinaters. We constantly out coach ourselves, put our selves in positions to fail. We have a solid run game and essentially a rookie QB that is playing really well and yet we want to throw all the time to WR`s that can`t catch. What is wrong with 1st and 2nd down runs and have third and 5 or less, we can P/A or run but the important thing is we keep them guessing. Then we can P/A 1st or 2nd down later in the game for big plays but throwing on 1st down and dropping it puts us in such a hole.

9 picks. One from Washington and one from KC in addition to the 7. They also surrendered one pick back to KC.

Ummm....the bucs just beat the Packers. Every game in this crazy league is a challenge.

we can still get a wild card. I wouldn't rule that out. We still may be alive for the division considering its likely the pats loose 2 our of 3 and maybe the jets can help us out and make them 0-3 over the next 3 weeks. The fact is even if we make the playoffs we're probably one and done. I will continue to root for the fins to make the playoffs but I know that next year is the year i'm really looking forward to.

Sorry Tony almost only counts in Hand Gernades and Horse Shoes! In the NFL almost is a loss. Enough excuses what are we the Jets?!?!?! We were out played and out coached! I can count at least 5 2 minute drills this year were we look like a Circus!

No doubt. Sometimes Henning tries to get overly creative and I think we use the WC to much. For the life of me I don't understand why Henning put White in on 2nd and 12 in the 2 minute drill. He threw a horrible incompletion and Henne is brought back in on 3d and 12. Henne is being set up for failure by the staff.

Thanks for this thread. Most others are negative. Henne is getting great experience and I think he looks good. Our young cb's were thrown into the fire today and came out looking like they have tons of potential. Are there things for them to correct? Absolutely. But they have some real good talent and upside.

We are a few players away (good WRs mostly) from beating these types of teams. If we had a go-to WR I think we would have won at least one of the three close games vs top tier opponents (colts, saints, pats). The drops are killing us.

Did you expect the Super Bowl 18 months removed from one of the NFL's worst teams in history?
