1. This team isn't far off, but shoot I'm tired of moral victories. The Dolphins have played all 3 teams in the division at perfect times when they were down and we were in the position to put them away and we didn't. While, I'm not down on Saban or this franchise (as I still believe Saban is great and will lead us to glory in later years), this is the same team as last year in terms of production. Play every team tough, stick around in every game, but either make dumb mistakes that cost us games, not make the plays on offense, or have the defense give up a late lead. Same ole' same ole' as last year. While I believe we'll win 6, possibly 7 games, this team has to get a "gut" if it is going to contend.

2. We can all agree that Gus isn't our only problem. While the past few weeks have shown Gus' weaknesses, we saw today that even with a masterful performance, in my mind, from a journeyman QB, we still can't win a game. We need a big time #1 WR. I'm tired of waiting on Chris' potential. He's a great guy to have, but as a #2, he could put up Lelie like numbers (last year) as a #2. We seem to have an OC that likes to completely abandon the run and let our defense run out of gas. Then we have a defense that just gives up big plays at inopportune times in a game.

3. I'm still excited about the season, but this loss really disappoints me bc we had a chance in our first 9 games to take control of this division (with a relatively easy schedule, compared to our other division foes) and we didn't do it. That's not Saban's fault, or Gus' fault, or Linehan's fault it's everybody involved with this team. I'm tired of this mentality that nobody thinks we're good, we believe in ourselves, yet we continually seem to "hide behind the couch" when its time to show up.

4. Lastly, go Dolphins. I really want to see us finish strong, possibly go 3-3 over our last 6 and go 7-9. I'm excited about this offseason, as I think its going to be big, not in terms of big name FAs or Draft picks, but serviceable guys who are really going to fit into the system and buy into the system. We're not far off from any team in our division, and we really need to finish up strong to rally for next year.

how did gus have a masterful performance? because of the 360 yards? 50 attempts , i hope the qb has 300 yards

Completions Attempts Yards TDs INT
254736021
Including 14.5 yards/completion...Not to mention, giving our offense a lead with 2:54 left, in a half that saw him throw the ball 30 times, making our offense completely one dimensional...and for poop and giggles against one of the best defensive masterminds ever in BB. So how are you gonna tell me that wasn't very good, maybe not masterful, but one of the best days of his career, the best day in a dolphins uniform, and one of the better days from a QB this week...Please, to all fans, if you're gonna bash him, I'm not gonna tell you to stop, that's your right, but damn give the guy credit when he deserves it....

yo don't forget if butterfingers didn't drop 4 passes then Gus would have been over 400 yrds and maybe could have put more points on the board...

Chambers had 2 drops. While that's definitly not a good thing, let's not get out of hand witht he exaggerations.

I agree. It's a new major hole every week...it started with Ronnie, then moved to our DBs, then penalties, then QB, then coaches, then WRs...

What that tells me is that there are a lot of gelling issues to be worked out. We are certainly in rebuilding mode. But not Cleveland Browns rebuilding. More like our own special right on the brink of being good rebuilding.

LOL. Then you haven't watched.

uhhh dude, I have to sit through MSU games every week.
He is nowhere near ready for the NFL.

It looked like he was getting there the first few weeks, but he really blew it and showed his colors over the last few games.

Why? because his offensive coordinator is an idiot? Because his WR's had 11 drops int he past 2 games combined? Because Kazmarick is a very sorry excuse for even a backup LT (gave up 5 sacks against OSU, YES 5!). Go back and watch a tape of the Ohio State game. Stanton had that offense moving against possibly the best defense in the nation (until the second half, when he didn't have 2 seconds on a play). He has a good arm, good accuracy, is very ellusive, and is porbably the toughest QB int he nation. Plus, he is a great fit for the offensive system that we run. The N'western game, he played very badly. But everyone has their off games. Other than that, he is doing everything he can.

Chambers wasn't the only guy who dropped passes that Gus hit them in the hands with. Booker had one bounce off his chest (which doesn't happen often, I know) and McMichaels had a 3rd down drop as well as I recall.

The team just doesn't have enough playmakers yet.

It will take us a while to overcome 4 years of bad drafts/giving-away-draft-picks/poor-free-agent-selection.
