I have been hearing a lot of good things about our new additions this year Anderson, Merling, Ferguson,N.Jones, Ayodele,etc.. I know our Qb's are getting some early criticism but on a postive note maybe our defense is really tough. Maybe we shored up some holes on our defense. I know it is still early but what do you guys think about what you have seen so far?

I hope so. I know I'm feeling pretty good about our secondary. Those guys seem to be making plays so far.

Games can be won with defense and a running game. We'll see how it plays out.

Honestly I would like to get to good
before i start thinking great.

Last years run defense made me sick to my stomach each and every week.

As has been stated many times before, the Defense always comes together faster than the offense. We have an added handicap on offense with a QB competition going on. But the news defensively does sound encouraging.

If we could learn how to pressure the QB again our defense could be better than people expect. I actually think our secondary has been a little underrated as of late. Considering how much time QB's had to throw the ball last year without any pressure, anyone could have completed passes. I'm still unsure about our LB's, but excited about the new additions. Hope Crowder finally plays up to his potential.

Our defense is going to be a bit incoherent this year, but Parcells is building something. In another draft or two it will all come together.

No question the D is gonna look better THIS early . . . lol we have only had 3 days of practice so far . . . the same happened last year . . . the D was whoopin the offense . . . everybody was hype, and when the season rolled around . . . we ended up with the worse rush defense in the league . . . don't read into too much this early in camp. This early in camp I prefer hearing what guys look good who may not have looked good in camp last year.

Hearing things like Hagan, Ginn, Solial and Ferguson standing out means much more than the QB's having a bad day or Jake Long getting beat . . . because that is to be expected this early in. Obviously you would love to hear that Beck or McCown has been pinpoint accurate from day 1 . . .but that is truly unrealistic to expect this early . Now when we are a few weeks in . . . then u expect the QB's to start looking better.

A great defense brewing???

maybe.

but honestly? it is appearing as it has for the last number of
years. this defense looks and feels all world because they are
getting over on a PUTRID, week offense, VOID of any real
talent.

the o-line [and i am shocked] looks like the worst in a few years
[right now], the qb play is 3rd string all the way around.

save all the gell and early camp and defense is always ahead at
this point crap. we hear it EVERY year!! and were already hearing it.

"yeah but, the wr's are lookign great!!"

thats because the office somehow got man love for our db's [none would
start on another team unless there was an injury] and they ignored taking
any from the good class in this years draft.

so, once again, the team will be shockd back into reality when they get out
and start playing against real teams.

lets just hope they handle the shock better than they did last year after
being exposed on day 1 by the redskins. we know how that ended up!
