A great read on why Vick SHOULD NOT become a Dolphin

Good stuff.

But anyone needing a case against Michael Vick clearly doesn't get it.

Vick hasn't played in two years. Do you really believe he's in football shape today? Not only that, but he wasn't that great when he was in an offense designed around him. Does anyone truly believe that Bill Parcells and Tony Sparano will change everything they accomplished last season and then mold 10 guys around 1 just so that the 1 guy can beat you with only his legs?

Michael Vick to the Miami Dolphins makes about as much sense as a screen door on a submarine.

come on of course he's in shape he played in the prison league. :foundout:

I can't totally agree with the article. I DO agree that I don't want Vick on this team. I DO agree that there is less than .0000001% chance that Parcells would bring him on board after drafting White. But with all that said if something happened that brought Vick to the fins I would try to pull for him. I wouldn't hope he got hurt.

Those dogs were brought up in an enviroment of violence and pain. They were killers that were taught to kill or be killed. Then when they were not the best of the best, and not good enough to kill those around them, their life of violence ended the way it started. They never got the chance to feel the love, respect, and companionship that could have came from a decent human owner. Thats sad, it's beyond sad, it's legally criminal. For what Vick did he should have been punished, and he was. Was it long enough or tough enough, I don't know. But I am willing to see if the system works.

Like those dogs, Vick was brought in to a world of unkind, and violent people. To a degree he wasn't shown the love from those around him as a youth that many of us got to feel. Neither you nor I really know what he went through but I am sure I have no desire to change my youthful memories for his. I am in no way, making an excuse for his actions, but like those dogs deserved love and deserved a chance to be changed back into a companion, I think Vick too deserves another chance, rather than being thrown onto the trash heep. To say I hope to see him get his leg broke or injured is putting me on his level. I hope I never sit around and wish ill to befall anyone.

I wish Vick the best and hope he has learned from his mistakes. I hope he gets his life turned around and finds joy and happiness. Not because he is a football player, but because he is a creation of God, like we all are. He made a terrible mistake that caused much pain, both mentally and physically, but we all deserve a 2nd chance. I for one hope it isn't in Miami, but if it was I would be able to put what I know of his past behind him and pull for who I hope he had turned into.

Yeah I actually am one of the ones who was completely disturbed with the manner in which this man executed his losing dogs. It sickens me, and I'm far from a PETA extremist, but it really is just f'ng sick what he did.

That being said, if the NFL reinstates him then I'm not going to be against the man being allowed to play football, the law gave him a punishment and he served it, so I suppose he deserves a second chance if thats what Goodell decides. Just as long as he's not in Miami.

Apart from the fact that I don't want ex-cons on my team, Vick is not the type of QB I would want anyway.

From what I have heard about his style of play (I never payed that much attention to him) he is a QB who beats you with his feet more than his arm. Even though winning games is all that maters, I would rather watch a QB that can stand in the pocket and pick apart Defenses than one that runs around the field looking to dump off passes or take off like a running back.

Just mt pref.

Main reason we won't get Vick, we dont need a QB. Even if you are looking at the wildcat formation....we drafted White.

2nd reason, it looks like Goodell is finally coming down harder on these cases judging by what the media is implying about how the commish will handle Vick and Burress' cases.

I am sure Vick can help some team. I think he is better then anybody the Denver Broncos have right now and he could help their vanilla offense. He just would not be a good fit in Miami. We have Pennington, Henne, and Pat White and should focus on these guys. Vick would be more of a distraction for Miami. Let someone else deal with that. I do wish Michael well even though I will never forget what he did to those dogs.

Vick sucks, as a QB and as a person. He wont even be playing in the NFL, let alone come to a team that will not be cutting any of their 3 QB's.
