From 1991-1995, as an assistant in the personnel dept under Belichick, the Browns went 36-44. Belichick was fired mid way through the 95 season. Tannenbaum and he went there separate ways and as you can suspect Belichick's career took off.

In 1996, T-baum was hired as an player personnel assistant for the New Orleans Saints. The Saints finished 3-13 and Jim Mora stepped down as HC.

In 1997, he was hired as Dir. of Player Contract Negotiations. Over the years, Tannenbaum served in numerous administrative positions with the team including Senior Vice President of Football Operations and Assistant General Manager.
In 2006, he was hired as the franchise's GM. In 2013, he was fired from the organization. He left with a record of 57-55. Not even Sexy Rexy could over come the malignant tumor that is Tannnenbaum.

And his history with this franchise is well documented.

The teams he has been apart of have a combined record of 96-112. He is a virus that needs eradicated from our midst.

Ross is loyal to a fault, one could assume you guys are stuck with Tannenbaum for at least another 2-3 years. Best of luck with that.

Good basketball agent. Bad nfl gm

So let me get this straight....you are holding a 22-24 year old lowly assistant responsible for Belichek's failure in Cleveland?....Wasn't Nick Saban more prominently on that staff?...Did this 22 year old have so much swag he also ruined Saban there also?

In New Orleans he was an intern...again...a 20 something non decision maker.

In New York he became a decision maker in 2006. We can debate his performance in New York as that is certainly relevent and fair...but one could argue they went to back to back AFC championship games during his tenure...with Mark Sanchez as their QB....Miami hasn't been to that game in 23 years....since Shula.

Whats next from those that love to hate?....Tannenbaum caused the banking collapse in 2008?

Blaming Tannenbaum for what happened in Cleveland or New Orleans is akin to blaming a drive thru clerk...or an asst. Manager even....for the collapse or failure of a national restaurant chain.

So far...I like whats going on with my Dolphins...I see something being built.

Wahhh we lost two 4ths and a 6th, i think we can survive without our jamil douglas/walt aikens this year. We got 4 guys that fit what the coaches want to the T and can all contribute day 1. I dont think its even tannenbaum making the decisions. I think the coaching staff is telling grier and tannenbaum who they want and its their job to wheel and deal however possible. Only questionable decision is caroo because of character concerns but as a player he might be the most polished nfl ready wr in the draft which would be a steal in the third. Think of it this way, how do next years draft pick help this years team? They dont, id much rather get a player a year ealier let the coaches work with him for a year.
