I'd rather stick with Tannehill than sign/trade for Bortles. I just don't see a franchise quarterback in Bortles. Sometimes a team gives up too quickly on a player, but in his case the Jaguars gave him too much time. If they're ready to show him the door, we shouldn't be opening ours to welcome him.
I suppose someone has to play quarterback, and if we aren't going to trade for one, draft one, retain Tannehill/another of our FA QBs, or continue to miss on other QBs in FA, then I guess we could end up with Bortles. We could do worse, but it's nothing to get excited about.
Said it in another thread. I can get behind Bridgewater but if we sign Bortles, I don't want any of the coaching staff or the front office on the team any longer. There is no excuse for signing Blake Bortles to be your starting QB. Not even your backup.
