A look at the Dolphins' curious QB situation

there is no reason at all to extend Pennington at this point. Most teams if they lose thier top 2 quarterbacks would be in deep crap.

I think the odds of Penny going another season injury free are against us,but only time will tell...

I hate to agree with Armando on anything, but to me this article is spot on.

No, I believe Armando is as clueless as ever.

Game 1: Penny looked ok at best, nothing special, Henne should have had 2 TDs that game, and the INT was a young in a storm, trying to do more then he should have (judgement...correctable)....Henne looked a little better

Game 2: Penny had a pretty good game, Henne had a very good game...Henne again looked better

Game 3: Penny had bad game, Henne had a horrible game. Pennington was better only by default.

The one thing you can say is Pennington was more consistant, but Henne was more dynamic, looked more dangerous, and was more successful in 2 of the three games.

Henne's biggest problems seem to have this year in bad weather, he seems to lose focus when it's wet. This is a bit dangerous considering how many games will be played in rain and snow in the NFL.

I like Pennington, and when he was on the Jets, he was the only player I would tell Jets fans I thought highly of. I think he deserves to start this year, then he deserves to be told they want him 1 more year at least, but that in 2010, he will have to compete against Henne for the starting job....if he takes it and Henne is still not ready, Penny no doubt will, and if Henne is ready, Miami will have a great backup for that year until White is ready.

DAMN YOU!!! I try to make it a point not to give these guys hits, but i took your word for it. There was nothing written in there that guys on this message board havn't written. We're not even getting payed for it....as far as White goes....if we were forced to start him for some ungodly reason, he would take damn near everything from the shotgun to keep him as comfortable as possible.....

More crap!

Hey, I guess I figured there wasn't enough discussion on here about the QB situation, so I figured I would break the monotony by posting a "rare" QB thread.

Where was Henne more dynamic? did I miss something? If i'm not mistaken Penny hit the only few long balls we had. Did I miss something? I thought I watched all three games. Please help me see it, I want to see it!

Its the whole Henne threw some incomplete passes that may not have been accurate or even smart throws, but man they had zip and a stronger arm can do things that a weak arm can't thing again....:rolleyes2:

I agree with everything but your assesment of Penny in game 3. He wasnt bad, he was average considering he had no running game to speak of, poor weather and still had a nice TD drive to start the 2nd half.

After the preseason IMO, Penny is the clear choice to start the season enough so that I would be willing to extend him another yr, Henne is going to be a good one, but another yr behind Penny would do him well.
