A look back at 1999

I'm probably going to regret asking this...but it's early and I don't understand what the article means when it says he has "outstanding size and AA". What the heck is AA?

Maybe he runs on batteries

Athletic ability???

"Couch is the closest thing to a franchise QB in this draft, although he is not without his detractors. " - That is said over Culpepper and Vick...good lord

Also the Ricky article is good where they basically call the Colts potheads for taking Edge over Ricky

 Yes it COULD mean that he runs on batteries...or Namor could be right with "athletic ability". So...I'm just going to go with that one.

he would fit right in! '' concerns about reading the defense''. thats what i would use to sum up all our Qbs

Another classic is the cecil collins profile "Before all of his problems, he was perceived as a sure 1st round pick"

If we did sign Couch we would have 3 top 10 pick from that draft....he ricky and Boston who went 8th.

That was one of the greatest drafts I can remember. I was hopeing we would get Edge or Ricky. Took a few years but we finally got Ricky!

Its all fun and games to take a look at draft reviews of Couch's college career, but his NFL career is a bit more relevant IMO.

Still, he was asked to be the man in Cleveland and he couldn't. Here in Miami he'd be just another caretaker who is asked to just get the ball into the hands of our fantastic core of catchers Chambers, Booker, Boston, McMichael, Gilmore, Diamond, and now Ronnie Brown.
