This is based on some guesswork with numbers (but I've been reasonably accurate lately), anyways thought I'd throw this out there and see what you guys think. It's gonna take a week longer than I originally thought, but I'm thinking we tie the Jests for 1st place in the division two weeks from now...so how you guys feeling about this?

Divisional breakdown:

currently:
1.New England 6-3
2.New York 6-3
3.Miami 5-4
4. Buffalo 5-4

next week:
Sun 11/16
Oakland (2-6) @ Miami
New York Jets @ New England (will break the tie for 1st in AFC East)

Mon 11/17
Cleveland (3-6) @ Buffalo

based on numbers, my guess for next week is we will be tied for 2nd
place, based on divisional wins and it should look like this:

1. New York 7-3
2. New England 6-4
2. Miami 6-4
4. Buffalo 6-4

the following week (with numbers based completely on guessing):
Sun 11/23
New England @ Miami
Buffalo @ Kansas City (1-7, current)
New York @ Tennessee (9-0, current)

if my guesses are right I think this week will go like this:
1. New York 7-4
1. Miami 7-4
3. Buffalo 7-4
4. New England 6-5

Miami ties for first on 11/23 if:
A. we beat Oakland (like we should) and
B. if we can beat New England again in two weeks (which I think we can, but we will need a new plan of attack cause the wildcat is done as far as I'm concerned).

Either way if we win the next two weeks (Oak and NE) we should be in first, unless the Jets somehow beat both the Pats and the Titans back-to-back.

didn't we just get a 50 yard td with ricky in that formation like 3 hours ago?

We did, but that was against a team with a crap D, that still gave us a really difficult time. New England is the team we debuted the wildcat on, I'm sure they have it well scouted by now, it would be foolish to think we could run it as effectively on them as we did the first time. You know fool me once, shame on you...

Dig a little deeper than the record and you would know their D is pretty good

This is crazy to say and i know people are gunna kill me for saying this but if the Titans are still undefeated when they play the jets, i wouldnt mind seeing the jets take them down.......

Wildcat didn't look done to me today. A defense is a defense. You're on the field to score and in the wildcat, the Dolphins scored.

I don't think it's crazy, in fact I made that post last week. I do think it's more important to win now then to protect our record, but that is one hell of a record that I certainly don't want to see lost anytime soon (especially to the Titans!) If you look at Tennessee's schedule it really doesn't appear to be all that difficult, given who they've already beaten this year:

at Jacksonville
Sunday, 11/16

N.Y. JETS
Sunday, 11/23

at Detroit
Thursday, 11/27

CLEVELAND
Sunday, 12/7

at Houston
Sunday, 12/14

PITTSBURGH
Sunday, 12/21

at Indianapolis
Sunday, 12/28

I think the Colts, Jets, and Steelers are the only teams with a shot at beating the Titans, if that ends up being the case I'm just gonna have to pray somebody other than the Jets is the one able to knock them off.

Agreed thats y i said i wouldnt mind the jets beating them bc if they dont i feel the only other hope is Pittsburgh, and i dont wanna have them undefeated that late

I'm sure I'll get blasted for this, but how about if we just take it one week at a time and avoid guessing on variables we can't possibly foresee or account for (injuries, etc...).

that would put us in second not 3rd because we beat the pats early in the season

unless you think they will win the superbowl, it dosent really matter when they lose whether its in the playoffs or regular season, because the pats already had an undefeated season so as long as they dont go perfect the whole way we r fine. titants vs jets. LETS GO TITANS.

and Ronnie's TD too. We had Ricky, Cobbs, and Ronnie in at the same time. I kinda like that, it's unique.

Yeah, I was hoping we would draft McFadden and be able to line up Ricky/Ronnie/McFadden in the backfield all at once. Unstoppable

It's so funny when people say the Wildcat is done.

If it was done, would other teams around the league use it?

If it was done, would Ricky Williams run UNTOUCHED to the endzone? Don't say that wasn't the Wildcat. It was the same principle.

If it was done, would we still use it?

Just because we don't get 20 yards every time we run it, doesn't mean it's done. It isn't as effective, but it's still working and keeps the defense on their heels.

I think we make a serious run here, ESPECIALLY WITH THE INJURY TO ADALIUS THOMAS! I don't think anyone on here is paying that a lot of attention. That is the cornerstone of their defense!
