I'm not sure if there is a correlation between a team and the type of fan that supports said team, but i must say that the Miami Dolphins and a large majority of the fans who post here are perfect match. I look at the schizophrenic, inconsistent and wildly unpredictable product on the field from Sunday to Sunday perfectly mirrors what i see on this bored. Some of you are so in tune with this team that every missed field goal, fumble, missed long ball, missed tackle etc are quite frequently predicted before it happens. Sometime even before the game starts. I am in amazement at how well you guys know your team and their losing ways. There's an old adage that says it takes one to know one but who know's if that's true?

For the rest of you, i'm not sure why you are here or support the Fins. Those of you who believe this team will actually win games or otherwise have a positive mindset towards the team and the organization are completely off base and need to turn in your fan card and fins gear cause ya'll just out of sync with the reality of the Dolphins franchise. There is no place for you here. The rest of you who can successfully predict a Dan Carpenter game winning field goal as revenge for being cut by the fins before the game even starts deserve the team you have. There is nothing more heartwarming than seeing teams and fans who have such similar mindsets come together. So as the Dolphins prepare for the off-season and draft, i fully expect to see posts predicting that the owner will make the worst hiring or non-hiring possible, that the teams draft picks will all be busts and that the Fins will be stuck in mediocrity for the rest of their existence...until they move to L.A. So when all this happens, just remember, you and the fins deserve each other. Happy New Year.

Some of us were Dolphin fans when we were one of the jewels of the NFL....So we go bats*** about the way this team has been handled for the last 15 years.

That's funny, your post and what my dog just left in the backyard are a match too.

You made some good points. But I cannot agree with all of them.

This team means more to me than it should.

I like all the true blue hard core fans here, they know there stuff, even the casual moderate fans here prove their loyalty to our team over and over in a variety of ways.

Dont confuse the above with the fringe drive-by fan who seems to over populate the site at times after losses or only troll when it's convenient for them to push their agenda. Every NFL fan base has them and they seem to have a lot to say and most repeat themselves over and over.

Also stereotyping fans kinda pulls you into low level drivel you are bringing from our drive-bys and what you pretty much seem to be complaining about which I find odd.

Interesting comments. I have only been on this site for a couple of months and initially noticed the same thing. Negativity sells and people have a tendency to thrive on it.......but the team has done it's part to disappoint as well.

What I have figured out, is that there are more insightful, knowledgeable posters on here than there are the doom and gloom crowd.....so some filtering needs to happen when reading these threads. Focus on the posts that have some substance (good or bad) and you will get a lot more out of the forum....at least that works for me.

I've been a Dolphins fan since I was, almost literally, ****ting green. I've seen more good than bad. But I have seen more disappointment than elation. I try to stay even keeled but I do occasionally vent my frustration. That's what FANS DO. If a dog drops a deuce at your feet, you aren't going to say, "HEY LOOK! A RAINBOW!" That's just the way it is. When you want your team to succeed so badly but they let you down, the immediate response is, of course, going to be a negative one. It's human nature and it's certainly the nature of fans of no matter what team or what sport they support. Your team loses, you're pissed. You're team continuously flops, you grow more and more frustrated. Each individual has his or her way of dealing with it. I have different levels of anger: from going into a fit of cussing rage to literally punching holes in walls. Granted, I try my best to NOT punch walls anymore. In this new internet world we live in, message boards are a new way to vent frustration that wasn't around back in our heyday of the 70s, 80s, or even 90s for the most part. Back in those days, you typically wallowed in your own self pity. Now we can wallow in ours and everyone else. It's therapeutic honestly. If we didn't have each other to vent with, especially over the past decade, we'd all likely be in a straight jacket in a padded cell somewhere.

I scanned it, saw the LA comment, laughed, and concluded this guy has no clue what he's talking about based on that asinine statement alone.

The Dolphins suck. I'm going to be on this site until it no longer exists. Anything else?

I stopped reading this crap when the OP used bored instead of board. Nothing intelligent to read here...or is it hear.
