A Michael Vick Confession.....

I have been bashing Vick all week....saying hes not a good QB...hes inaccurate in his throws....man just bashing him every chance i could....
Well I am sorry....Vick..at least today...Was very accurate...putting the ball in places only....ahem...Marino I saw put passes....and man he took a beating today....a absolute beating. But got up and continued to will his team to victory.....Granted Miami was in the game up to the end....but they shouldnt have been....I would take Vick in a New York Minute over any QB on our roster without a doubt. He impressed me today....and for that...Ill eat crow.

ARE YOU FOR REAL? Are you telling me as a FOOTBALL FAN, a studier of the game, that, before this week, you would not have done a straight up trade for VICK with any of our QB's. I would have traded Gus, Lemon and Sage for him and picked up a 2 round QB for a backup.

I can't believe you really thought VICK was below any of our quarterbacks. I don't even know how to process a thought like that. I am being serious.

Actually one of my posts...I admitted I would take Vick for any QB on our roster...BUT... if I had to choose between the rest of Vicks Career or just letting Miami either Draft or Free Agency a QB....that i would choose the latter part of that equation....and go thru the growing pains that we obviously are going thru now and will continue to go thru.
 
Vick was great today. There is a reason he wins. He fits perfectly into what they do...short passes and runs. You have to defend him for the run and that keeps your linebackers from covering the TE/running backs. Its a good system...give the falcons credit.
 
he had a good game, nothing else to it. i'll have to see him do it more than once before calling him a good QB (i didn't even see the game, though, so i can't even judge his performance, really)

Yep on fire even without number one reciever.
Those of us that watch him weekly have seen that potential, its just been slow...painfully slow at times. You saw first hand one of his problems, if a ball floats into the endzone and smacks you in the chest shouldnt a nfl wr catch it?
His rushing could have been better but not to bad overall 270 yards for Vick

Our secondary sucks, and so does Michael Vick. What quarterback couldn't throw on us?

Come on now....Vicks throws were on target and precise.....nothing I might add...that I expected coming into this game....he got killed today but hung in there and took hits...and got back up. Yea secondary sucked....but even when we had perfect coverage....receiver still caught ball.......Hey im not saying he is the second coming of.....Doug Williams...Im just saying he impressed me today....I normally dont watch him....I just heard all the rumors.

Every squirrel finds a nut now and then. That happened to be Vick against our pathetic secondary. He's extremely inconsistant in the passing game, and he always will be.

So were they really great throws, or just poor coverage. Well judging from what i've seen from Miami's secondary all year i'd say poor coverage.
 
It seemd like on every 3rd down play Vick had the perfect pass, inches away from being tipped or knocked down, or he scrambled to pick up the first. They had the ball for 37 minutes to our 23.....when you can't control the clock and once again you allow points on the opening drive for the 7th straight game, you put yourself in a hole that is hard to climb out of. :rolleyes:
