A Most Satisfying Way to Lose $200....

I'm just doing my part fellas; took Pitt to cover the 7.5 which I know is a shameful thing to do. I figured if my team is gunna suck, I may as well make some money lol and knew deep down if I tried that, they'd end up sticking it to me.

Never been this happy to lose $200 in my life!
 
Sorry to hear it but you manned up and took it like a champ so, kudos to you god sir!
 
Hey man it's what I've been doing. I call it "hedging my Sundays". Either it's good cause I won money, or it's good because the Dolphins won. When the Dolphins lose my day is ruined, so this is a good counter.

Posts 1. 3, &4 are yet more proof on how unpredictably bi-polar a lot of this fan base is.

Maybe, the phins perpetual mediocrity is some kind of karmic payback for the nonsense some of their "fans" display.

p.s. I never bet on the Dolphins or U of Utah ($ and passion don't mix well)

There is no shame in betting against Miami. I've been betting on football since I was about 15 to be honest (had cool parents who would buy me sports select tickets, if I could scrounge together the money). My step-dad gave me a good piece of advice when I started gambling on sports: never bet with your heart. I've made a lot of money over the years betting against Miami. Despite the fact that I always cheer for them (and at times cheer in the hopes I'll lose my bet) I still take the odds when it's smart to do so. Today, however, I bet on Miami. Maybe it was just a gut feeling, but I felt as if they were due. Turned out well for me.

It could have been worse. Pitt could have won by 7 or less and you'd have been a double loser.

That's the exact kind of thing that would happen to me if tried this reverse psychology type of thing. The football gods aren't dumb!
 
Haha I lost $150 with the other docs and NP's at the hospital. Safe to say I'm surprisingly happy about loosing the cash too

Nonsense?? Just trying to be realistic and win a small amount of money lol.

If me betting against them every week would guarantee a win, I would gladly do it to watch a Super Bowl victory! I'm more than fine with losing money, if I get to see them win!

That was my worst nightmare! Kinda figured that would happen but very grateful it didn't! It killed a couple parlays too but couldn't care less lol!!
