A Must Read, from a former Fin

about not having good teammates backs who ironically seems to have all of his teammates back.. that's a great observation about new FAs pastor

Interesting comments by Murtha. While most of us would view Incognitos language as over the top and inappropriate, a portrait is starting to evolve that seems to lend credence to Richie and Jonathan Martin being friends and the language Incognito used was intended as friendly banter and not a threat or slur. It is amazing how this story has evolved and how the tide is turning the other way. I put a lot of credence in the views of these players who were there and interacting with these two on a regular basis. And the idea that Murtha left the team a year ago...is fair....but his comments are not very different from those on the team today (Tannehill, Hartline, Clabo...etc).

This is true. It's possible that there was some insane psycho stuff going on completely in private. But... Martin sharing the voicemail and laughing about it?

I have been very critical of coach Philbin, but I sincerely hope that he isn't scapegoated for this mess because as more and more information comes out, it certainly appears that if anything over the top and crazy was happening, it was going on in private and Martin concealed it.

Agreed.

Philbin is already been scapegoated. Its apparently every man for himself in that organization. Whatever your opinion is of this situation, if the reports about Ireland getting a heads up are true: he hung Philbin out to dry. Either he told Philbin and they both agreed to a certain narrative and now Ireland is ducking his head in the sand as the bullets come flying or Ireland kept it to himself and Philbin answered honestly. Unless people think Philbin decided to blatantly lie all by himself about receiving no contact from Martin(and/or agent), which i dont buy.

Couldnt tell if serious, but i agree with WildBill: the leadership of this team is so ****ed. Thats all im repeatedly seeing through every development.

And no offense to Heisenphin, but this isnt a game changer. This is the game at this point. I have little doubt there will be a new development in 6-8 hours as Martin reveals more information. At this point, you just have to laugh or else the blood pressure increase will start killing us all off.

Still not significant to me. He's been gone for over a year. There could've been a RECENT incident that caused Martin to do this that only him and Richie know about.

Then there's no helping you because these are significant. It sounds like youre trying to be stubborn. Of course there could have been something more recent but these testimonies atleast speak to their relationship. How you cant see the signigicance there, I just cant fathom.

I was not kidding. they are all ****ed. it's the players in the locker room that control this season now. not the guys outside.

oh it is. it provides an insight to a player who played a while with Richie, this combined with ricky and others coming to Richie's defense paints a picture that martin's "I was bullied" narrative doesn't add up.

I don't read anything from Murtha that makes anything more clear. It's just how it looked from his lens, which, to be honest, is colored by his own biases and preconceptions. Nothing to see here.

Possible. Let's see what happens, but I think it's entirely possible Philbin survives at this point. We need to see and hear more.

Ultimately, Steve Ross is going to be the one who decides who to fire and who to retain here.

And I gotta be honest, I find it very hard to believe, again, that Philbin told Richie to do that kind of thing. It just doesn't fit what I know of the situation. Philbin was upset with profanity being used on Hard Knocks, remember that? Do you really think he would encourage or condone Richie to say those things? As soon as the voice mail came out, Richie was immediately suspended? Come on.

I've been waffling on Joe in this one, but the more that comes out, the more I think this thing was not a coaching problem.

Mike and Mike just read the majority of it on air. The tide is turning in the media. I'm seeing more and more talking heads hinting at the fact that something smells here.

But there is still a ton of Dolphin bashing going on out there as well.
So has Rush Limbaugh, as of about 1 hour ago. He's using it as the perfect example of PC left wing social coddling. I tend to agree with his assessment. I also agree with Rush's view that it's a man's game where political correctness has no place and, either the NFL shrugs this off without issue, or football, as we've known it, exists no more.
