A name that has been lost....Ron Rivera

with the bears still in the playoffs, many have forgotten about ron rivera. Ron is the defensive coordinator of the 2nd best defense in the league. He is latin so may be drawn to south florida. it will be interesting to see what happens after the bears are eliminated this sunday. I think we will grab another interview with him immediately.

there is no way gailey or mora will be our next hc. huizenga knows he needs a big name hot prospect to come in. not these used goods. Trust me, we are not getting some used up fired coach. He's gonna grab the biggest name out there which would have been shotty if he didn't withdraw. Now i really think its cameron or rivera. With my fingers crossed for RR

The consensus seems to be that Miami must hire a coach this week, prior to the Senior Bowl because that's a great place for both scouting and scoping out potential assistants.

It looks like the good fortune of the Bears is a mixed blessing for Rivera.

Ron Rivera will be a H.C. at some point, if not this year. He's certainly a viable candidate, it's just right place-wrong time for him, unfortunately.

I don't believe Lovie Smith has signed an extension with the Bears. Maybe Ron is holding out for that job. Throw Mike S. as a possible HC candidate as well.


FWIW: Every quaility HC candidate(or even OC/DC candidates) should keep a short list coaches he'ld like to work with. I'm just not buying this hire a guy by this date.
