A nice sumation of free agency so far by Dave Hyde

It feels like they are a team trying to make smart aggressive moves. Better than the past of being conservative and then blowing our ward in a panic.
 
It actually seems like we have a well defined plan and everyone is on board. We are not just running around grabbing players willy-nilly. Hickey definitely started turning the ship last year and the addition of Tannenbaum has galvanized everyone. I hope that it translates to the field and results in significantly more wins.

Tannenbaum has been here for all of 3 seconds. This plan didn't start when he walked in.

T² hasn't galvanized a thing. This is Hickeys second year and he now knows the team, its strengths and weeknesses and is implementing his plan.

He is the GM and responsible for all player transactions.

T2 is here to be a buffer for ross so he isn't standing as a deer in the headlights any longer when asked questions about moves. But make no mistake, this is all Dennis Hickey and the extension of what he started last year.

This is the part that really infuriates me though:

Finally, there's the Joe Philbin Phactor in this. He did not want to deal with Wallace again, according to sources. You can say Philbin is an issue in this, and I won't disagree. His players in the past two years have had more embarrassing incidences (Bullygate, Wallace's finale, even Jared Odrick's spat with Philbin on the sideline ...) than you see at well-run teams.

He's acknowledging what we all know - that our coach can't run the team. I like what we've been doing in FA, but our coach is a total wuss who doesn't like confrontation and he coaches like a pansy too. We should have gotten him off the books too.

You know, this was cleared up about 4 days after it happened, by philbin himself that he benched Wallace.

But I guess it fits the hater agenda better by ignoring that and continue to call him things like a cancer and " lazy, worthless piece of ****" as one poster so elequintly put it today.

The myths that fans hang to have grown to a staggering amount.

Correction, Tannenbaum was here as an advisor last year, just not as VP. So he has been informed and involved for more than just the past month or so. Long enough that they could have definitely worked out a plan together

Not only is Joe running the team, he's hand picking the lil' ****ers that he doesn't want on his team and sends them running as well.
