Plenty of other threads are focused on what needs to be cleaned up in the Dolphins' play.
In this thread I'd like to call attention to the fact that our favorite team beat the Jets in their own stadium, on the same day that the Patriots and Bills also lost. Outcomes trump everything else in football, so in my opinion regular-season Sundays don't get better than this. I don't know about you all, but I'm enjoying the hell out of today.

It was a good day today. Thanks to streaming Sunday Ticket, I got to watch the game on my TV in hi-def, which sure beats what I was doing the past who knows how many years. THEN I got to tune into the Pats game to watch them get spanked.

The only slight downside to today? I'm a little jelly about Mahomes.

Pretty close. I always root against the 19-0 prospects smack out of the gate. Today was very good in that regard. Minnesota and Green Bay tying eliminated both of them. New England continued its recent norm of losing early in the season. Eagles are out of the way.

Not that I've exactly been sweating but I don't want any team taking this into November. That's always my goal. Dolphins excluded obviously. Normally I don't have to add that qualifier after two games.

I guess the highest rated 2-0 teams remaining are Kansas City, Rams, and Jaguars.

Both the Rams and KC are pretty scary in that regard.

Other football games are so much more enjoyable when the fins win. I could watch a 4pm 0-3 defensive struggle between last place teams and still enjoy it after a fins win.

Same. When Miami loses I typically don’t want anything to do with football until the following weekend.

We woke up this Monday morning with the Miami Dolphins in first place in the AFC Eastern Division for the first time in 10 years, and only the second time in 16.

It felt like old times... like when I was a teenager.

Sunday MATTERED.

I agree too. I was flipping all over the dial during the afternoon games yesterday, not a care in the world, haha.

Yup, this past sunday i had to shut it down for a bit after the fins win, but usually that point at the end of all the 1pm games, if you have Red Zone especially, is a joy to watch. Normally 2-3 nail biters and maybe an OT game, one of the best hours in sports.
