A Playoff Team.....ESPN Insider Seems to Think.............

History has shown us that 5 or 6 new teams make the playoffs every year, and it's not som far-fetched idea that we couldn't be one of those teams, unless you're 90% of the other papers/tv shows/analysts.
 
How is 8 wins enough for a play off spot, especially with the Patriots and Jets in the division?

We're 3-1 against the Jets in the last two seasons. Not worried about the Jets, its the rest of the league I worry about.

Didn't the Jets win the division last year with a 12-4 mark and the Patriots were the wild card at 11-5?

I guess they are trying to say that at "8.3 wins", we are not that far off from having a record that is playoff-worthy.
...but they must not have seen the AFC in the past decade. Both AFC teams that played NFC teams yesterday won and that's going to happen a LOT with the crap teams in the NFC.
 
Sheesh.. after yesterday people are going to clamor that the Panthers and Bills are playoff teams.

Why not us? Why not anyone. I think we're in for a Topsy-Turvey year!
