Chargers C Nick Hardwick is out until at least December after undergoing surgery on his ankle Wednesday. Another major blow to a running game that can't get anything going between the tackles. Hardwick, a one-time Pro Bowler, may have to go on injured reserve if the Bolts suffer more injuries elsewhere on the roster. Scott Mruczkowski, he of two career starts in five pro seasons, will step in. It's terrible news for LaDainian Tomlinson, who is injured himself. Expect San Diego to keep using a perimeter-based offense featuring Darren Sproles.

I'm not sure that that can be considered a 'plus'.

In 35 years of being a Dolphin fan, I've seen alot of opposing teams magically 'find' their running attack when playing the phins. I think I'd rather face a team that prefers to run between the tackles than a team that uses a guy like Sproles to get around the edges.

Historically, we've done pretty well against LT if my memory serves me.

That's all we need. For them to pass more with Jackson, Gates, Chambers. Sproles on all those screens.

And we have such an imaginative defensive coordinator who has no clue how to create a consistent pass rush.

Too bad Rex Ryan went to the Jets and didn't become our coordinator. That's a guy who knows how to move players around to get a consistent pass rush that comes on every play.

I just watched the player interviews from today and the team looks totally defeated. They have zero confidence in themselves or the team.

Their body language looks tired, complacent, defeated, and totally worn out.. And totally drained.

When I saw the Chargers interviews they looked full of confidence and energy ready to come out like gangbusters on Sunday.

It doesn't look good.
