This thread is not to start the debate about who you want to start at QB this year, Sage or Gus, but it is meant to point out something that this writer in my oppinion has distinctly pointed out...***
what a quarterback switch can mean in a very short time.***

How good this Dolphin team could be next year with a Quarterback I think would be unbelievable.I know we have a couple more things that still need some touchups, but a good QB would drastically turn us into immediate play-off team IMO next year.I know many will say, well this was Buffalo. But look at what a good QB performance by Frerotte did in the opening game against the Bronco's.This team is totally different when the QB's play their part ! Below is the read and link...

Miami 24, Buffalo 23: Turn this game off in the third quarter, and you would have arrived at the following conclusions: J.P. Losman has found his groove as a starting quarterback; Losman and other players weren't merely dispensing hot air with talk that the Bills still were very much in the postseason hunt and intended to perform accordingly the rest of the way; media speculation that Bills president Tom Donahoe's future was in doubt was premature; the Dolphins' passing game is a mess; and Miami is going nowhere with Gus Frerotte as its starting quarterback. But if you stuck around for the fourth quarter, you would have seen the major difference -- Sage Rosenfels taking over after Frerotte was injured while being sacked for a safety in the third quarter -- what a quarterback switch can mean in a very short time. The Dolphins erased a 23-3 deficit with 12 minutes left, as Rosenfels led them on a drive for a touchdown run and then threw two touchdown passes, the second a 4-yard toss on fourth down that Chris Chambers snagged with six seconds left. The Bills saw their defense vanish, along with virtually any hope of winning their once-winnable division.

Yesterday highlighted to me that we do have playmakers on our team that can win the game given the chance. It proved to me and re-itirated(sp) what I thought after the Denver game; If we can get a QB that can play well like Sage did yesterday we have a great offense.

Our oline needs to be more consistent too and the penalties have to stop.

Yeah, I agree our o-line still is'nt quite where it needs to be as well, but hopefully it will be even better next year though.I also think we need another player on defense, but honestly, not much.We look pretty good alot of times, but then at times, we look....

Anyway, I think a good QB to get the ball to Chambers and McMichaels and if we have a tandom of Ricky and Ronnie running and catching passes out of the backfield, that would be great.Have to admit though, I would be willing to trade Ricky for a good QB prospect.

Get Carr, David Carr, maybe he'll do a steve young. Then in the draft we can get some playmaking d# players and mean OL.

Dont get Carr Please dont get carr

Try and get Joey Harrington if your going for a QB, he's getting Boo'd out of detroit and might not be there next year

boo'd for a reason he's holding back a potentially good team. Carr is doing ok with a crappy team.

have you ever watched Harrington play?

Truthfully

I dont see many Lions games(seen more HOU games) but I've seen harrington play in maybe 4-6 times and that compiled with stats makes him undesirable IMO.

You know, I like Carr some, Im leaning to believing he could make a good QB with a team around him, hard to tell with him in Hoston though. I honestly dont think Harrington is a bad QB but he just has been made a scapegoat in Detroit, still not sure about him either though yet.

I honestly dont know who I would go after yet, Atlanta's back-up QB Schwaab (sp) is honestly a very good QB as well. Of course Rivers is an option, but young and unproven, and with our guys getting older (Zach,JAson,Madison) do we want someone with a little more experience. If the Chargers were stupid enough to get rid of him, I would love to have Drew Bree's ! But surely their not that stupid...LOL And with the situation in Minnesota, next year either Culpepper or Johnson may become available.

Not sure where we will go, but definitely should be a fun offseason with us looking....Night all, and good chatting

Well Ive seen Harrington enough to conclude this

1- His mistakes usually are not his fault, he doesnt have an offensive line at all

2- Carr doesnt have an offensive line, but he has a defense which allows them to run something detroit usually cant do because they are always behind

3- When Harrington does have time he is a very very accurate QB with a good arm, and his young recievers drop sooo many passes

All that said Id still like to see Vince Young Drafted

i dont know. the fact that the vikings have won 5 straight without him is tough to ignore

but he came into the season with a bad knee so he lacked accuracy

The season before he threw 39 TD's which is amazing, but it was over shadowed by peytons 49

any other year Daunte is the MVP
