yesterday on this forum i saw that someone used the term Tannchize when referring to our rookie QB. I normally would not have a problem with this, as nick names are used often on this forum. However, i cannot help but associate the nick-names Sanchize and Tannchize in my sub-conscience. Whether they've earned that title is a whole other story, but this is eerily similar to the 'other team' from NY... j/k Junc, i thought i'd take a stab at ya :-) ... But seriously, am i the only one not in favor of these cutsie dime-a-dozen nick names we've given our players, let alone anointing a rookie QB who hasn't started a game yet? Back on point, i hate Mark Sanchez with a passion. I've come to terms with his nick name and scoff at it each and every time because it's so inaccurate. Now we're going to start calling our rookie QB Tannchize? I'm not having that. Furthermore, there was a thread on here asking for Tannehill's nick name ideas. Whats the issue with calling him by his last name? Everything else is foolish, at least let him earn it!

It's just people having fun trying to find a nickname for the guy. You know, what being a fan is all about. They so all suck so tho...lol, but I'm not about to get all flustered about it. Its really not an issue.

It's in somebodies sig. I figured it was a swipe at the Jets but I can't say I'm in favor of it.

As for this being similar to the Jets...not even close. Jets traded up and gave up a lot for a mediocre QB who was handed the team from day 1. Tannehill is having to earn his spot...and he's responding.

Wouldn't worry to much about the nickname similarities between Tannehill and Sanchez. The only real similarity between both is, they got little experience in college.


- Tannehill wants to be a orthopedic surgeon, Sanchez hopes to become a model or Gigolo.....brains are not lacking with Tannehill.

-Tannehill has 4.5 speed, Sanchez is more then 4.8.........Tannehill is a better athlete.

-Tannehill (6'4) is taller then Sanchez (6'2)......Tannehill will be able to see over a defense better.

-Tannehill played WR for the better of his team, Sanchez expects nobody to even consider challenging him...Better team player.

-Because Tannehill played receiver, he knows what the receiver might do in most positions, Sanchez is still trying to figure out QB...more knowledge with Tannehill.

-Tannehill is married to his college girlfriend, Sanchez likes highschool girls (The younger the better)....Not football related, just a warning to parents of Highschool Girls.
