A Small Tibit Of ESPN Love

Think that assessment of Ginn was pretty fair.

i don't. one of the biggest busts in Dolphins history? he couldn't make the top 10 if he quit today.

In a way, from a public and fan sentiment standpoint, I think Graham may even be right. I mean, you have a ton of people out there that already consider Ginn to be one of the biggest draft debacles in Dolphins history. There's just so much surrounding it that makes it such a lightning rod selection. The Brady Quinn snub. How many people still have a bad taste in their mouth about taking Ginn over Quinn even though Quinn hasn't done jack sh-t in t he NFL yet? The "Ted Ginn family". A horrible explanation provided to the fans by an awkward public speaker who turned out to be just as awkward as a leader of men. The fact that this was the, or at least one of the top move(s) of the off season, for a team that ended up 1-15 and the most embarrassing in Dolphins history.

But it just goes to show you how widely held fan sentiment can be so strong about something, without having any basis in fact. I like Graham's analogy that if Ginn were a $5 scratch-off ticket, he'd be a $3 winner. So far, that is absolutely the case. But, one or two more years...who knows?

Ya, I agree. I would think that people should be more upset about not selecting P.Willis. Atleast he's done something in this league and we needed to get Thomas's replacement aswell as a future QB.
Kick returner/ part time WR wasn't exactly high on our list, but what is done is done and hopefully Ginn proves the critics wrong.

When I think of Dolphin draft busts, I think of Jamar Fletcher, John Beck and Jason Allen. Not to mention all of the picks given away for busts like AJ Feeley, Daunte Culpepper, Lamar Gordon...
Ted Ginn is set for a breakout year and I look forward to a lot of people eating crow. How many WRs are instant successes in the NFL? Good players sometimes take a little longer.
The reality is that he made good progress last season and he is set to burn this year.

Why would people think of a 2nd round pick as being among the Dolphins' all time busts? Baffling, to me. Pat White was selected about as high as Beck. If he doesn't pan out as a QB, will he go down as one of the Dolphins' all time biggest busts?

When it comes to analysis from the Lords at ESPN, F*** em'. The only one who has any clue what is happening in Miami is Graham. Why? Because the rest of ESPN is so far up Bellichicks butt they have no clue whats happening anywhere else. They only preach about teams like the Pats, Cowboys and now that Vick is there the Eagles. They still live in a fantasy world where they actually believe the Cowboys are going to be good. That team has no coach. Yet they persist with how great the Cowboys are going to be. Another team is Buffalo, somehow adding a 35 year-old locker room cancer is going to make these guys world beaters. They have no line and Jauron is proving to be lacking as a head coach. But somehow even they are going to be better than us according to some of these buffoons.

Are you seriously throwing Beck out there, especially being a second rounder, when there are players like John Avery that we took with a first?

True, accurate, & really really funny.

My issue with Ginn was that he wasn't a polished WR. I don't believe you spend a top 10 pick on an incomplete player. To me, he was Raghib Ismail/ Desmond Howard all over again
Patrick Willis was the guy they should have drafted. How good would this defense be if we had Willis?
I think it is easier to find a guy like Ginn, than it is yo find a guy like Willis.
