A terrible omen for Titan fans

i gurantee he puts an end to the curse. he wont get hurt guranteed

yep he's done...they should have put pac man on there to see what would have happened

I just think it's dumb that he's the guy on the cover. I wonder just how many players turned them down to actully dig that far down to the botttom of the barrell to pull out Young. His 12 TDs, 13 INTs 55 comp % and 69.2 rating doesn't strike me as star.

Anyone else think the Titans success could've had something to do with Travis Henry, Keith Bullock and Pacman Jones?

"Member of the Vince Young was overrated in 2006 bandwagon."

BINGO! Wow, I've been saying this for a while now. But what ever, now that he's on the cover, he's a definite bust and the Titans will regret not taking Matt Leinart. jk, I'm not that superstitious, but don't be surprised.

He definitely didn't deserve to be on the cover. So many playmaerks in the NFL, I mean a list that reaches to 100. I would have even put an o-linemen in the cover ahead of Vince Young.

Watch the guy play. The guy does something that isn't accounted for in. Look at the talent on the team around him. Travis Henry, Chris Hope, Pacman, Mawae, and Bullock are the only above average players on the team last year. This year, its just going to be Young, Bullock, Hope and Mawae. The five receivers on the roster had a combine 49 cathes last season. There is one running back on the roster. He reportedly weighs 260 pounds The Defense was dead last in 2006, and it lost its best player. Kick and punt returns will return to the dumpster like before Pacman came along.
Vince elevates everyone around him. He makes below average players look better. You may not think he should be on the cover. You might think he isn't very good. If for whatever reason Young has a bad 08 season, it wasn't because of "the madden curse" its only because he is human. Humans are not always perfect and arn't Invincible.

ok and those players were on the team and playing when they had 0 wins before vince became the starter... then vince becomes the starter and they go 8-5...

of course those players had an impact, but to think vince had none is ******ed... just watch him play, dont look at a box score and think you know everything about a player... and it was also his first year...

now Matt Leinart, with clearly more talent around him did as follows...
11 games started (4-7 Record)
Passing: 56.8% 2547 yds 11 tds 12 ints
Rushing: 49 yds 2 tds 2 fumbles lost
Totals: 2596 yards total, 13 TDs, 14 Turnovers

Vince Young
13 games started (8-5 Record)
Passing: 51.5% 2199 yds 12 tds 13 ints
Rushing: 552 yds 7 tds 3 fumbles lost
Totals: 2751 yards total, 19 TDs 16 Turnovers

was Leinart really that much better? especially on a team with so much more offensive talent?

dont forget this was youngs first year... i always hate sounding like a huge VY fan, but i cant understand why people bad mouth him for no reason... its really crazy, just watch the games and you'll see the impact he has...
