I know most of you guys hate the poor shmuck. Well I wanted to come to his defense this once.

Was watching the NFL Blitz on ESPNEWS this weekend. You know the show, him and 2 other guys break down everygame.

Well it was a bad weekend for QBs, namely Eli Manning, Jake Plummer, and Jake Delhomme, all 3 of whom he was ripping for making poor decisions.

He then went onto a rant about how he knows that most of the QBs in this league are tons better then he ever was. He said he knew he wasn't that great of a QB and he has tremendous respect for all the QBs out there who play.

He said his job is to critique the play of the NFL and offer his personal opinion on them.

I happened to like him. If he hates our team, so be it. He was very honest about how he knows he wasnt that great a player. So it kinda dismisses the thought on this site that he was a good player and he doesnt know anything

Where did anyone ever say that!?!?

Salisbury was NOT good. Kudos to him for saying so. NOW, if only Theismann can admit it.........................................................................................................

No I meant that some on here felt that Salisbury himself thought he was tough ****ake hence why he felt the need to badmouth everyone.

My only issue with Salisbury is he tends to "blow in the wind" with whatever direction the hot teams/players are going. When Saban was struggling last year he was slamming him and the Phins...then we get on a big streak to end the season and he jumps on the Phin's bandwagon. Now all the analysts are talking about Romo and the Cowboys being GREAT, when a few weeks ago they were hating them.

Just be consistent Salisbury Steak.

Exactly. I can tell you which way he is gonna go on every analysis just by reading the box-scores on Sunday Night.

He does show some nice insight that only a former NFL QB could show, but he seems to be pretty wish-washy on who is hot/cold.

As for Theeseman...its too bad LT wasnt about 4 feet higher on that hit...WTF is ESPN thinking? Loud mouth Joe along with dumb and dumber from PTI, MNF is absolutely on MUTE in my house for the rest of the season....:tantrum:

I just don't like him because he refuses to take accountability for his statements. Last year when he predicted us to be the worst team in the NFL, he never once mentioned how good of a season we had.

Theisman was a very good Qb, he won a Superbowl and had some Skins teams with offenses that were very highly ranked. The guy acts like a turd but in his day he was a good Qb, remember he beat us in a Superbowl.

at least he watches all the games and has an opinion, most of these guys anymore depend on highlights and go on what others are saying.,

salisbury is just another talking head. going with the flow of the information, changing his mind at will, going for what gets people talking...
