OK - I had a thought that made me go "hmmmmmmmmm" relative to Beck and how good he is - or isn't.

Facts
*Cam drafted Beck
*Cam is now in BALT
*BALT is in dire need of a QB and was looking to draft/get one
*It has been reported that if Beck were coming out this year, he would have been considered alongside Matt Ryan as the number 1 QB in the draft.

So - taking all of that into account it seems as though Cam would have made a play for Beck given that he is his guy and has one year in his system.

That leads me to the following: Does Cam really not think enough of Beck to have offered a pick for him? Or, perhaps BP thinks enough of him to not let him go? It really could go either way, but given BP spent a 2 on Henne, I think it may just be the former.

Any thoughts?

Eww.

I doubt Cam has the power to just offer up first round picks independently of the gm and head coach. I've never heard that Beck was on equal terms with Ryan. Would that mean Kolb would have gone number one this year? I'd like to think that Parcells does think enough of Beck to not be interested in trading him. I'm still hoping John comes out and wins this thing.

Where was it reported that he would have been considered number one along with Ryan? I've never heard anything like that.

no i just think it was the fact that cam or balt didnt even think about it because he was all miami had at the time, and didnt think miami would consider it

if they are reallying on cam ,they are in big trouble.

At least someone is catching on. If Beck had any value at all we wouldve traded him already. He was asked to bulk up in hopes he could serve as a backup for McCown until Henne is ready. But, he may not even be able to do that.

I thought about the Cam angle too. I would send them Beck for Boller in a heartbeat. Boller could backup McCown for now and maybe be Henne's backup once he is ready. We wouldve probably had to throw in a decent pick to pull that off anyways. No way Baltimore wants Beck right now without Boller there. They would have no one to start since theyre saying Flacco isnt ready right away.
