I am pretty disappointed with the dolphins fan base right now espicially those that are on this board. I am reading some of the most ridicoulous posts, and there were a couple that really stood out to me. One was how he was ashamed to be a dolphin fan...another was by WVdolphinfan talking about how our team has not improved since last year....another saying we dont deserve to be in the playoffs and i hope we lose this upcoming week....

There are plenty others but those really stood out to me. let me start by saying, you are ashamed to be a dolphin fan??? Really, because I am not ashamed to be a fan of a team that lost its starting QB, RB, CB, NT, and took on the toughest schedule in the league and still be able to be in the playoff hunt going into the final week. That to me is something to be real proud of. You want to know when I was ashamed??? When we were 1-15, thats when I was ashamed. You my friend should be ashamed, please leave.

Second of all, we have improved in just about every single position since last year, that may have been the dumbest post I have ever read. Im not even going to go through every position, I think if you look at this years depth chart compared to last years, you will understand what I mean.

We dont deserve to be in the playoffs? Im pretty sure if we somehow miraculously make it, we deserve to be there. This team has fought harder then any other dolphin team I have seen in a while and although theyve endured tough losses and close losses, they are a tough team that has fought real hard through a tough season.

Last but not least....FIRE TONY SPARANO!?!?!?!? omg I thought it was one idiot but I was wrong, tons of you are saying we should fire him. Like are you serious? The man took us from 1-15 to 11-5 and a division birth. He has kept our team in the playoff hunt this year despite all we have had to endure, yea lets fire that man...that makes sense :ponder:

Starting cb: out
Starting qb: out
Starting rb: out
Starting nt: out
Starting c: out
Starting sp teams/all everything back: out

6 of the most important positions/players on the team. Not very many teams could overcome that.

I feel the same way, i just made the thread stating something just like this. Thats exactly how I feel.

I'm totally with you, i'm ashamed of the Dolphins fans, not the Dolphins, when we will have some people on the Stadium, what we have to do?, win a SB? i'm sick of watch the home games with all empty, the Texans game was a huge playoff chance for us, and i see the stadium empty, every week, i think the Lions, Browns and Rams got more people, the fire Tony is one of the most stupid things i ever heard, agree with you on every thing you said

I agree and think that we have been playing well, but there are still some issues to be dealt with. We definitely need a new OC and DC as well as a new WR. Having said that, I love the potential that our team is showing.

I have backed off my fire Sparano stance, but he really needs to improve his game day act. perhaps he needs some better lieutenants. I am always preaching patience so I had better apply that standard to our HC

we don't deserve to be in the playoffs, the Buffalo loss proved that. we are still showing the effects of a decade of bad drafts. our defensive athleticism is still sorely lacking especially for a 3-4 team. we sure could use a stud like Cushing but we can't fill every hole in 2 years

the reason I am patient is when I see a team loaded with talent, I always see a team that has been drafting well for many years

I agree with the OP and just want to also add that we lost our starting TE as well. David Martin was a huge part of this team last year and losing him before the season hurt. Fasano was open a lot last year because we played 2 TE sets and Martin was the one drawing the coverage so the loss of Martin also hurt Fasano's numbers who lets face it while he's a great blocker isn't a #1 receiving TE. The other domino effect of the Martin loss was having to play some young very raw guys to basically fill the #2 TE role.

Just wanted to add that I think the fire Sparano threads are a total disgrace.

I just don't understand some of the "fans"

I think this post sums up "you people" better than anything I could say about you. You are "ashamed of Dolphins fans, not the Dolphins"....When not one fan has missed a tackle, failed to block, thrown a bonehead INT, dropped a pass, used horrible clock management and failed to prepare this team. No, that was the players and the coaches. Not the fans.

The fans, those who care passionately enough to want something better, take time out of their day to show up and "rant" because they are emotionally invested in the Fins....make you ashamed.

The ONLY thing fans can do is speak out. Its the only power we have. And yet you people who not only tolerate losing, but appreciate losing, sit here and engage in self congratulatory nonsense and call yourselves the "true fans."

I find that whole attitude disgusting and weak.

What potential? The potential to not show up until its 27-0? The potential to lose to the Bills? To blow a 24-3 lead to the Saints (at home)? What is it that I am supposed to take away from these losers and be happy about?

See what I mean? Another fan who "appreciates" losing. Wanting a HC held responsible for our putrid performances is a disgrace?

How about being down 27-0 at home to a team not assured to make the playoffs? Is that disgraceful? How about losing to the Bills? Is that disgraceful? How about that sorry performance to the Titans? Disgraceful? No. Yet saying, "fire Tony Sparano" is disgraceful in your eyes.

LOL...you people with no standards amaze the hell out of me. Seriously. But I have been here before. You guys were the same ones who supported Wannstedt, Saban, John Beck, and Cam Cameron. Sparano is just the latest recipient of this "Irrational Love Affair" that Fins fans have with their HC. I don't get you guys AT ALL. And I hope I never do.
