A Very Deep Qb Class

The Dolphins will pick up a QB this year, but in the later rounds IMO.

Benkert is one of the mid-round guys I would love to see as a Fin. "Makes all the throws" is a good description.

What the heck is streakingthelawn dot Com?

And while it's a deep class of solid QBs, none of them, not even the top guys, appear to be "can't miss" guys to me.

But that's just my opinion. What the hell do I know?

Do you confirm they have meet Benkert many times ? and do you Know if they meet others QB than Mayfield and Falk

I'm fine with adding a qb if fans were willing to give the player a chance without putting unrealistic expectation on his shoulders. If you're one of those fans that believes a qb has to be a top 10 passer or needs to be replaced than there's a good chance anybody the team selects is going to disappoint you and not live up to your expectations.

If Tannehill is your guy, and you have made that single issue known, you don't waste a pick to address the backup QB position. No, you invest in the line, TE and WRs. Sorry, but I just don't see the justification in such a pick. Its half steppin.

And I'm a sceptic of Tannehill. Investing a mid tier QB prospect, at this point is laughable. And is so Lolphins.

100% essential we have a quality developmental QB on the roster. Does not have to be R1 but I'd think certainly by R3 (R4 absolute latest). Get serious and bring in the best upside talent and let our "genius coaching staff" coach 'em up!

What is a mid tier TE or WR prospect going to do for this team? QB is the most important position by a country mile. You should draft one every year and hope one sticks.

This.
It would be a wasted pick, unless you are targeting a phenom in first rd to replace Tannehill. We already have backups.

Quality QBs can be found in the 6th round ;)

Benkert could be a very good developmental guy for a low price, and he probably can outscore a dead slug on a Wonderlic test.

Believe it or not, I am in the draft a guy later like rounds 3+ category. Just do not see the value especially at 11, just do not see one of the top 4 guys making it too 11 and it is dumb to trade up.

And IF it's so important and the franchise has made it known both financially and playing time wise to its franchise QB...you don't waste a pick in year 7 of said QB tenure. It makes absolutely no sense. Especially with the holes this team has, and never seems to address adequately.

What is a mid tier TE going to do for Tannehill? Or a mid tier WR/OL/RB? A helluva lot more than a 3rd round project QB who will see no time in the foreseeable future.
