Wow. Has anyone seen this video? Its awesome. Someone really loved him enough to make a video this good. Its all emotional and really well done.

But how bout those highlights though!? One thing is certain from this video - he STILL HAS IT! I had assumed the last 2 years that since he wasn't really fantasy relevant he had dropped off a bit...but no thats just the Vikings fault and not having a QB to get him the ball enough.

Love the signing. You know what I would love even more? A lineup line this:

Jennings, top 5 WR in draft, Landry, Stills, Matthews
or
Jennings, Landry, Stills, Rashad Greene, Matthews

My best case scenario is we address another need in the 1st round and select Rashad Greene in round 2. Leader. Qb friendly. High IQ. Perfect route runner. Reliable. Excellent hands. Excellent work ethic. Whats not to like? His game mirrors Jennings in a lot of ways.

We have the PERFECT mentor in Greg Jennings who has played both outside and inside. Landry, Stills, and Rashad Greene (if we drafted him) can ALL play outside/inside. Imagine that...4 #2 caliber WR's, that can all be interchangeable. Philbin would finally have what he described when he arrived in Miami. I hope we take a WR still in the draft...

But how bout Jennings though? He still has it doesn't he? Does anybody wish, like me, that we took him instead of Mike Wallace all along? I thought he was the best choice back then honestly...I always thought Wallace was a one-trick pony and the money he wanted was insane. Such a shame this didnt happen sooner!

I like the Greg Jennings video, but I disagree about Rashad Greene.

I feel that Ryan Tannehill's best match are receivers with a strong catch radius. The ideal outside WR for Tannehill would be a young Larry Fitzgerald.

Rashad Greene is 5'11", 182 lbs, and is described as "string bean body type" and "will likely never reach 190-pounds". On top of his size limitation, he has a small catch radius.

"..Below average strength and will be pushed around and overwhelmed at times by defenders. Smallish target with a limited catching radius. Will never consistently win in contested situations and struggles with 50/50 chances.."

Look, he isnt this guy anymore....

But I think we can get at least 2 really solid years out of him

I'm with uk. I think he may be decent still, but the Greg Jennings of GB is gone.

After watching that tribute video I am pumped up. Looked like a red zone threat you could also throw it deep to in Minny and that is something we lost in Wallace. From his interviews I have already liked the character he is bringing to this young core of wide receivers, which will undoubtedly get younger on draft day, when we inevitably draft another WR.

He might not be the same Greg Jennings from GB but even an old Greg Jennings can still ball.

hands are still there though which really was his biggest assett

His awareness on the field is also impressive. He's got unbelievable footwork on those sideline catches and he adjusts to the ball extremely well. Doesn't have the speed he used to but I'd like to see him on the outside for us. Minnesota for some reason used him in the slot. He's as fast as Hartline is now (used to be a 4.42 40 guy) and he doesn't fall as soon as he catches the ball. Still need that big WR to round out the WR corp but with Jennings onboard it's not dire. If we miss on some of the names I saw listed as our targets I wouldn't be opposed to taking Dezmin Lewis late in the draft. I think a guy like him, with his size, learning from Jennings would turn into a solid player.

great post.

even in the big highlight video I posted above, even in his prime, the play that impressed me more than all those huge deep plays was this: (should start at 1:57)

thats just sick

and lets not forget how he burned us just a few months ago:

http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-...03/Bridgewater-hits-Jennings-for-a-21-yard-TD

yes he has declined, but that was a big td by anyones standards, good route, tough catch. Hes not who he was but remains a clear upgrade over Hartline.

I was initially kind of sour on acquiring him . . . but if I'm finding a guy that fits what my QB does best . . . he was the best guy available. He's not the game breaker he used to be, but with Stills as the main vertical guy and him/Landry alternating from the outside and inside . . . . he could be welcome addition.

Acquiring him doesn't change the draft for me . . . . I still want Parker, and I wouldn't mind a second guy on day 3. Gather talent so you don't become desperate in 2 years when Stills/Jennings deals are up and Hazel/Landry have 1 year left on their initial deals.

Classy veteran that still has plenty in the tank! Great pick up by the FO. Now let's draft someone like Phillip Dorsett, a big time playmaker. I've been watching him for years, love to see him become a Dolphin. This guy takes the top off any defense and allows our guys like Landry and Cameron to do the work underneath. Add a RB like Gordon or Duke Johnson and we become pretty tough to stop.

Same here . I like the signing . Still want Parker.

If not , next guy i want is trae waynes

Glad to get someone with soft hands who makes an effort to catch the ball and not alligator-arm it or give a half-ass effort if it doesn't hit him in the numbers like we saw out of a certain former member.

Hope he has something left....what I hear is he had a bad yr with the vikings, some are saying Aaron Rodgers is the reason he was considered great.....I would much rather have him than Crabtree
