I say the man got a raw deal & did the best he could with what he had(not 2 say someone else could'nt have done better) and keep in mind wanny in a way IS still w/ us at MARINO's almamadder and wouldnt it be nice if wanny groomed us "THE NEXT MARINO"

That would be nice.

p.s. nobody ever dogged jimmy johnson and he did'nt accoplish all that much?

Not a single person has a bad thing to say about Wanny? You're joking right? Man, you did a half-assed search.

Not a suprise when the head coach has no control or respect of his players. The line showed no emotion becasue they had no motivation to improve from their coach. The Bengals head coach has something good going because he doesn't coddle his players like pornstach. Who could we possibly replace him with in mid season?

Jimmy came to a team that was old, slow, expensive and in salary cap hell. He built a very good and sometimes dominant defense that had depth all over the place.

Wanny took that defense and let it sit for 5 years without adding a thing to it.

Wanny deserves tp be "dogged". He set this franchise back years with his idiocy. He missed the playoffs in 2002 when we arguably had the most talent in the AFC...he should have been strung up the SECOND Adam Vinatieri hit that O.T. field goal.

His first year was great, we did some trick plays and we were really unpredictable. But problems arouse in his second year when he stuck to Jay Fiedler(I dont need to say much about him) and started to be predictable with no trick plays. Then we got Ricky Williams in his third year and had our best team talent wise, but no playoffs and you got yourselfs a real coaching problem here, that was when we deteriorated IMO.

my bad, the first use of pornstache

guys.. you beat me up alot about my timing of coming over and stuff.. but i honestly like it here and dont really have alot of hate towards the fish.. my best friend is a fish fan.. it is just fun ribbing.. and i really like debating the henry/williams type stuff.. your mostly good guys over here.. and like i said.. i can feel your pain..

i had such high hopes for this year.. and rightfully so.. the bills and an extremely talented team.. and the fish had the makings of a defense that could have been record breaking.. it looked like your wr position was going to be much improved.. ect ect..

bottom line is that your qb and coaching can kill you.. dredsoe and killdrive/williams rival the competence of fielder and pornstache for sure..

Most people weren't happy with him becoming head coach to begin with. After his first year though, he overachieved winning the AFC East and made the playoffs winning that classic against the colts in miami. It didn't take long for things to sour though, man. We made the playoffs the next year and our home wildcard game wasn't even sold out because people knew we were going to lose to Baltimore. Then came Ricky and the dominance that was 2002...Zach (leading tackles), JT (leading sacks), and Ricky (leading rusher) and missing the playoffs with the dreaded December swoon.... Believe me by then people were not happy having him around. This wasn't something that just happened this year. In fact, after the 2003 season most of us were in shock and disgusted with the fact that Wayne signed him to a 2 year extension when 95% of us thought he should be fired.

and i wuz part of that 95% i'm not tryin' 2 say he wuz good or tryin' to start a smack thread just that players underpreformed and he still may be able to contribute to our team yet. and i wuz just teasein' bout the bradykid thing if i wuz really gonna clown i'd say somethin' bout judo puppy on your avitar.:)

Wanny was hands down the worst coach in the league. You don't "do the best you can with what you got" for that amount of time. That's a fine excuse for a 1st or 2nd year coach, but to use it about his entire time here is a joke.

Wanny is back in college because it's more his level. He was a horrible coach, and if he ever returns to the NFL, I wish the team he ends up in good luck.

You need to look harder man. Wanny has been getting bashed here for years.

After the 2003 season, people wanted his head on a stick. We were sure he was outta here. Incidentally, I was calling for Saban. :)

I hope he does well at Pitt.
