Once again I felt like we went away from the run too early. The more we run Miller the better this offense works. Here are some pretty incredible stats:

Tannehill: 5.75 YPA, 1TD on 41 attempts
Miller: 7.42 YPC, 2 TDS on 12 attemps.

Run the football.

I'm assuming Miller got injured? Right? Otherwise no idea why we went away from him. Also we should have incorporated him in the passing game. He can catch a 2 yard screen as well as Damien and is a hell of a lot more dangerous with the ball once he has it.

I agree, not only the offense works better but the defense gets valuable time of the field, they were gassed by halftime and we come out and throw in the 2nd half.....Miller needs to have a fit in the lockerroom after this one.....and add on too the fact we are undisciplined football team....to many 15 yd penalties.....Landry's penalty was a killer....

I just don't understand it either. As this offense was originally explained by Bill Lazor the passing game is predicated on play action, but if you rarely run the ball, how can play action be effective at all?

What's worse, when the game is close, the defense needs a breather, and Miller is gashing the defense, hand him the ball, RUN GODDAMNIT!

Lazor and Philbin must have mind control on the offensive staff. There's no other explanation for it.

This gets a downvote? Someone thinks we should play Lamar less and Damien more? Interesting counter perspective, DolfanDave.

What I've been thinking all along is the lack of balance is in large part because Tannehill changes a lot more plays to passes than he does to runs. Its the only thing that makes sense at this point.

Also if you know that they know that you want to be a physical running team I'm sure its easy to talk yourself into changing it up and going pass heavy.

We always abandon the run.

Miller was the team's best player tonight and he was not even on the field in the 2nd half. I just do not get it.

Suddenly Tannehill can audible all year and he's the one changing the plays to passes? That could be the funniest thing I've heard all year.

Miller couldn't get yards in the second half because there was no blocking from the Guards and Sims. The whole team is a dysfunctional mess.

I think we started 3 or 4 drives in the 2nd half w Dallas Thomas false starts, Jason fox holding and Landry's dumb ass personal foul. I think that messed up the run calling more than anything. In fact, one of Thomas FS was on a good looking Tannehill keeper.

Suddenly? He always could. Even the most staunch Audible-gate theorists admit that he had the freedom to change the play to at least one second option. Maybe whenever he went to the second option is was of the passing variety more often than not?
