About That OL...

The Dolphins now have a staff and system that knows how mask weak area and get the most out of the talent they do have. Makes you wonder how they're going to address the oline going forward. Will they prioritize getting top level free agent talent or 1st and 2nd round draft picks? When the coaching staff said the fans and media were more worried about the o-line than the team was we all doubted? This staff and this system could even take a player like Solomon KIndley, who was a good run blocker but struggled in pass protection, and make him a viable option. Getting the ball out of the qb's hand in 2 seconds makes it hard for d-lines to get pressure, even against poor pass blockers.

Ya, I don't mind ever being wrong if it benefits the team. I will say through 3 games, I was wrong. I am not sure if it was Butch or what.....but the OL has been very respectable, even without Armstead. It is amazing to see after all of these years!

Watching these MNF games shows how important offensive line play is for an offense. The Rams can’t protect Stafford and the Rams offense looks incompetent. The Bucs couldn’t protect Mayfield and their offense couldn’t do anything. The Commanders gave up 9 sacks yesterday and couldn’t score in a game that was still relatively up for grabs into the second half.

It‘s an issue all over the league. Bad QB play combined with bad offensive line play.

We need the line to keep up its amazing work. Good things will follow.

Been watching the OL from multiple angles. Man, on runs to the left, Jackson and Hunt are making a block, then sprinting 5, 10, occasionally 20-25 yards upfield, and across to the left, looking to block downfield. Impressive. AJack made it all the way to the L sideline 20 yards upfield on one of Achene's long runs to the left. Armstead is even better of course, but since they're running to his side he doesn't have to go so far.

This is all on McD designing an offense that plays to our strengths and hides our weaknesses.
They are doing a good job keeping Tua clean because he is getting rid of the ball quickly.

Without the speed of the skill guys they wold not be able to get away with it, but whatever works.

I still expect to see them Draft OL early and often next year.
