i didnt get to see the game today and i came home and saw ronnie having 2 yds on 12 carries:eek: what happened? what was the problem today.i know that the vikings are the best run defense but still 2 yds.what was our problem.please explain

There was absolutely no room for Ronnie either. I also agree, he had like 8 or 9 carries I think into the 4th quarter. That not good enough to get in any kind of rhythm. Even early in the game they abandoned the running game so it became about the passing game. Also, Minnesotas run D is very very good.

And don't forget that we were in a shootgun set 3/4 of the game.... The first drive of game we ran the ball on the first 2 plays and then threw the rest of the way down to the 2 and then we ran it again and thats when RB fumbled the ball away.

we didn't even attempt at establishing a running game today. We started out with the shot gun from the opening drive and only rushed the ball I believe 10-12 times all game?

It was as if Saban assumed we'd have no luck running the ball and just abandoned it from the door.

The way we ran the ball, no wonder we abandoned the running game, I mean big deal if we ran the ball 20 times would he he have gained a whole yard at that pace.

who knows? maybe he wouldve broken one off....doesnt really matter at this point

The running game was shut down. I felt like they were going to protect Ronnie bc he was hurt but what I didnt expect was a pass only offense. I thought they would run Morris more. I hope we can see the ROnnie from the Chicago game on Thursday.

Props to there run DEF

Damn they are good at stopping the run, I was impressed. Mularkey knew this and was prepared, I have to give props to Mularkey for this one.

There were three negative plays that cost us almost 20 yards -- the two fumbles and a toss play that Minnesota sniffed out.

Minnesota had the top run defense coming into the game, but their secondary was vulnerable. Our offense had the greatest success passing out of the shotgun, especially when we emptied the backfield.

It also seemed like Minnesota was sending six guys on just about every play in the second half.
