The Palm Beach Post’s Miami Dolphins reporter Andrew Abramson joined Orlando Alzugaray on The Big O Show Friday and discussed the team’s first days of OTA’s. Abramson said that a player that has stood out has been rookie receiver Jakeem Grant.
“Jakeem Grant is a little guy…he’s listed at 5-foot-6, and there’s no one on the field that compares in size to him,” Abramson said. “The players love him though, he’s already earned the nickname ‘Mighty Mouse’. Ryan Tannehill hasn’t stopped praising the guy, stating that he can not only help special teams, but the offense too.”
The Dolphins selected Grant out of Texas Tech with the 186th pick in NFL Draft. During his final season with the Red Raiders, Grant caught 90 passes for 1,268 yards and 12 total touchdowns – breaking Michael Crabtree’s school record.
