Greg Bedard of the Palm Beach Post has a new blog up. He said that Wade Smith was absent and there was a new offensive lineman on the field who was wearing #69. He said the guy looked like Seth mcKinney only the guy was bigger. He also said that there appeared to be a new cornerback on the field as well. Possibly a new guy from the practice squad.
 
Hey no reason to be a smart aleck buddy. I am just posting what I read. We don't know who it is yet but it certainly sounds like Wade Smith was released. Nick Saban is suppose to have a press conference today so they are hopeful he will say something about the moves that we made today.

Just a guess here but could the new guy be Kendyl Jacox?
 
We've had Wade on the team for a few years and got nothing from him. So it makes sense that they let him go.
 
I was thinking we might possibly get someone from the Rams for Wade Smith since their center MCcollum was injured against the Broncos; also Linehan knows him.
 
Kendyl Jacox is African American. The new o-lineman must be white since they said he looks like Seth McKinney but is bigger. Also Jacox is #64. Hopefully Nick Saban says something at his press conference so we know. This is great news if Wade Smith is gone. It means another one of Wannys draft day blunders are gone from the team.
 
Jacox wouldn't be new. The reporters would know who he is, the same is true of Shirdonya Mitchell. I just hope Saban tells us especially the moves on the PS because in the past he has been closed mouthed about it.

I was just going to say that. You'd have to have some pretty bad eyes to think these two looked alike...

The guy looked like Seth McKinney only bigger? That ain't Jacox...for obvious reasons (he's black).

My guess? Matt Stinchcomb, Jeff Mitchell, Cory Raymer...or a REAL darkhorse, Jason Ball.
