Just turned on Sirius Radio and heard them saying the QB situation in Miami is going to be MCnown, Henning and Beck..

They were speaking like this was reported to them.. It sounded like they had inside info as they said Sparrano Loves Henne and they feel he will be the starter Mid Season...

Anyone heard more about this? I thought Beck was going to be given a shot, but it seems his age, and old regime picking him is going to cost him a real chance..

The NFL network has been saying this since the day before the draft, though. I think we'll just have to wait and see.

Until they say who told them, until the source of at least the reporter is revealed, I call bull****.

Adam Scheftler, for example, has been clear that his guess is that Henne is the guy in the future. Why does he say this... who knows? But unless this is something extra, I'll have to assume this is Scheftler's dookie wafting around NFLN headquarters.

At this point, that would be not very smart. The Trio has yet to see Beck compete against Henne or McCown.

The Trio are not dumb people, this was just Sirrus radio BS.

The best man will start. We had to draft a QB because we only had 1 rookie moreless on the roster and no quality FA's were available. All NFL teams need 2 starting caliber QB's to go into any season and Henne wasn't taken with the 1st pick in the second round he was the late second rounder. Lee has been working with Beck all offseason and I would have to say he is way further ahead as of know but none of us knows how this competition will end and no media rat trying to get attention knows anymore than us because our FO don't roll like that.

I'll say this: if true, none of us should be upset. It's just business in the NFL, and Beck wasn't picked by the folks who are running this team now.

I found it interesting that Beck has really taken on a leaderhip role among the QB's. Being the longest "in this system", he's been coaching both McCown and Henne on positioning, formations, etc.

If I was a coach, that couldn't help but impress me.

Needless, TC will be where the rubber meets the road. The coaches know what they're doing. And if "Beck was on the outs" as SIRIUS says, why didn't the FO let him go like Green and Lemon? May as well start with scratch if that quote is true in the least.

I heard the same thing. Unless I didnt hear them say it, they never mentioned Beck was on his way out. They did give accolades to Henne and Wilcots thinks McCown is going to start. Schein did practically scream that Sparano LOVES Henne, (Although I dont know about this if Sparano is making Henne run laps) and predicted McCown to start and Henne to be the starter by midseason. I dont really take too much Solice in what he says though. I doubt they talked to anyone and they are just giving us thier opinions, which is fine.

Schein has been getting on my nerves lately though. I get the feeling he thinks he knows alot more than he actually does. Pat Kirwin is really the only one I enjoy listening to.

Trust me, it's not just you.

If Sparano's position is that Henne could potentially start by mid-season then implied in that is that he plans on giving Beck a shot to hold Henne off. I mean there's two ways you could look at any statement like that. You could say hey Sparano loves Henne and thinks he could be ready by mid-season to start, or you could say hey Sparano doesn't think Henne is ready to start the season and he won't even look at him until mid-season and that is only if John Beck is struggling.

Trust me, it's not just you.

Its too bad because I really liked him last year, but as of the past few months he has gotten unbelievably ****y and arrogant. You can just hear it in his voice. The only show I like now is Moving the Chains.

ESPN "NFL LIVE" last night indicated they thought Parcells liked experience (McCown) and the Henne is their guy for the future...nothing about Beck on the way out!!!!

Lets hope that these 3 guys can stabilize this position...nothing stable since MARINO...

I never understand this comment, no matter what the situation is why would we cut Beck or even trade him. He was a second round pick and at worst would be a good third stringer, he has little trade value at this point so even if he were not in our plans why would we already cut him. Lemon was a free agent and Trent Green was getting starter money. If we had resigned Lemon to the money Jacksonville paid him I would have a big problem with that, Mccown is much better for the money and as for Green he was washed up last year so why keep him another year. None of us really know what is going on. i dont think the front office is enamoured with beck much like some on the board because even after all the offseason work they still drafted a qb in the second but I dont think they are truly down on Beck. I think atthis point they still have no clue what they have in Beck and it would be quite stupid to cut him or trade him unless you have a heck of an offer at the very least a second round pick and that offer is not coming anytime soon. That being said we did not just draft Henne because we only had two qb's they obviously think the guy is a potential starter at some point.
