I think (the quarterback situation) is something we need to continue to evaluate," Dolphins coach Nick Saban said. "It seems the entire preseason whichever quarterback played second has played best."

Which QB has played nearly the entire preseason?? :hmmm:

:shout:"Hey Coach, when is this farce of a QB competition going to end? I mean I know it already ended before the Chicago game but, when are you going to correct your mistake of awarding the job to gus?"

I would alternate quarters next week. One of them play the 1st and 3rd. The other play the 2nd and 4th and whoever plays better wins. Let them know that up front. Let them know all the chips are on the table. See who rises to the ocassion.

Can't worry about one of them getting hurt, beause they both suck anyway and it would be no big loss.

You know that's offense the case. The second QB often looks better than the first because of adjusting to the other's mistakes, playing against easier players, and showing good signs due to the other's poor showing. If someone plays better than the 2nd QB he should definitely be the starter.

I agree!

I hope AJ starts. We should hear something soon.

both of the QB looked good the other night but I must say that Feeley has looked good and would have the job if it was up to me but nonetheless I trust Saban... I think this is Linehan's call of going with Frerotte instead of Feeley

No! No! No!!!!

If they both got hurt, we'd be really screwed. I have no confidence in Sage whatsoever to allow him to start a game. He looked aweful last year against Baltimore..... and Berlin's probably gonna be cut or put on the practice squad.

Too many rep for the last preseason game, too great a risk of injury....
Let AJ play first quarter, Gus second, then let Sage and Brock fight for camera time for the last two.....

the odds of BOTH getting hurt are slim. You can't live your life in fear of what MIGHT happen.

Brock won't even be on the team by the time the next game comes around

Yes the odds of them both getting hurt are slim, but we're the Dolphins. We haven't had the best of luck in recent years. Remeber last offseason? I'm not willing to chance it....

chance what? Losing a BAD quarterback?

we didn't allowed hardly any QB pressure last night, we give up any sacks at all so based on that our QBs should be fine. McDougle needs to stop holding though

None of our Qbs are that good. But a bad qb ios better than no qb...

whatever sister :shakeno:

If none of our QB's are that good (as you say) what is the fear of losing one?

I think playing AJ as the back-up until the bye week is probably the new "plan".

From Saban's demeanor about the QB situation, I think he really wanted gus to be able to hold the fort for a few weeks and he knows now that that's going to be asking for more than what gus is capable of doing.

In terms of consistently making the right reads and comfort in the system, I doubt that AJ is ready to run with the first teamers and Saban probably knows that better thn any of us but, I bet he also knows that by week 4 he's going to have a QB change.

we will have to rely on our running game quite a bit and then draft a QB next year
